Honestly though, it is a pretty good drama, But not that of a masterpiece
The ending was a happy one. Although Tae Vin (Myung Ha) is unable to return to the real world, the Grim Reaper grants him a second chance. At 15:40 of episode 8, he reveals that he created an alternative world, in the form of a game, where Tae Vin (Myung Ha) can live out his life and be happy
The Reaper poses a question, "if I tell you it's the end, will you let it end?" Tae Vin (Myung Ha) doesn't let it end. He embraces the game as his new reality, choosing to spend the remainder of his second chance at life cherishing precious moments with his beloved Joo Wan (Yeo Woon)
Honestly though, it is a pretty good drama, But not that of a masterpiece
"... but it is like increasing more in korean shows nowadays!!!!!"
I'm enthusiastic about the prospect of more BL Kdramas
Now, I'm curious about you—when did you start watching "noona" dramas, and what was it that initially drew you in? Do you have a "noona" drama you'd recommend?
Honestly though, it is a pretty good drama, But not that of a masterpiece
The goal is to strike a balance between quantity and quality. Having an abundance of BLs available for us to enjoy, and maintaining high standards in storytelling, character development, and production value
Honestly though, it is a pretty good drama, But not that of a masterpiece
I agree that "Strangers from Hell" and "Pyramid Game" are masterpieces. They expose the dark depths of human behavior, and the lengths to which people go when pushed to their limits. Another standout Kdrama is "Love for Love's Sake," a beautifully crafted ode to the power of love and redemption. The male character was given a second chance to confront his past and embrace the possibility of a new beginning, to love and be loved by a man who understands and shares an undeniable chemistry with him
"At a Distance, Spring is Green" didn't resonate with me. It had its moments, particularly the chemistry between the male leads
There are several other Kdramas that can be considered masterpieces in their own right. "Taxi Driver" (Season 1), "Missing: The Other Side" (Seasons 1 & 2), "Mother" (2018), "The King of Pigs," "Vigilante," "The Kidnapping Day," "Love Tractor," "Unintentional Love Story," "Move to Heaven," etc
I just don't understand the mentality of people out here..if an older woman falls in love with much younger man..or…
"Love" can be "calculated with age." Partners close in age go through challenges at a similar pace. At different ages, they would have different interests, goals, and values, which makes it difficult to build a healthy relationship
really now! That means you have no problem getting into bed with the murderer who killed your father. In this…
Freud made significant contributions to the field of psychology. His theories on the unconscious mind, dream analysis, and defense mechanisms are studied and used in therapy today. He was one of the first to recognize the importance of early childhood experiences in shaping adult behavior and personality
Noone has all the answers, and the most influential figures are bound to make mistakes. We shouldn't dismiss Freud entirely
I mentioned in my previous comment that FL might took her revenge "too far" and seems like many disagree. I personally…
I believe only the person who was first affected has the legal, moral standing to seek revenge and compensation. The family of the father would not have legal, moral standing. They did not "suffer" a direct harm
Applied to the directly affected, an eye for an eye doesn't make the world blind. It makes us pirates. I do sympathize with Seon Yul, though. He isn't one-dimensional to be labeled as the "bad guy." The drama does an excellent job of inviting us to engage in thought-provoking discussions about the complexity of law and morality
I highly recommend this drama. Please watch it while it's still ongoing. It's so fun to theorize what would happen.
"His dad might not be innocent but her revenge vigilante justice by killing him in the name of her child is taking it too far"
She didn't take it "too far"
Both Seon Yul and Soo Hyun are bereaved family members grieving the loss of a loved one. Seon Yul's pain, "caused" by Soo Hyun's actions, is similar to Soo Hyun's pain, "caused" by Seon Yul's father's actions. Seon Yul isn't better or worse than Soo Hyun
Can anybody give me a hint about what’s this alpha males and omegaverse thing, i was hella confused while watching…
Omegaverse divides characters into alphas, omegas, and betas. Omegas are placed at the bottom of the social hierarchy. They are expected to fulfill traditionally feminine roles, form partnerships with alphas, raise their children, and assume domestic responsibilities (cooking and cleaning)
Alphas are placed at the top of the social hierarchy. They are expected to fulfill traditionally masculine roles, form partnerships with omegas, and provide for their omega partners and children
Betas are ordinary. They do not possess pheromones or subscribe to rigid roles as much as omegas and alphas
I'm open to addressing any questions or concerns you have
Please keep in mind that I approach the topic of omegaverse from a critical perspective. I believe omegaverse is a homophobic, misogynistic setting where the marginalization of non-heteronormative relationships is magnified to an alarming degree. Non-conformist partnerships, alpha-beta, alpha-alpha, encounter intolerance, mirroring societal discrimination against non-straight relationships. Alpha-omega partnerships represent the "straight" lifestyle endorsed by societal constructs
Depression is a very subjective matter! Everyone's feelings are different and the source of their depression is…
In light of your input, I would like to rephrase my earlier statement: "romance" can play a supportive role in alleviating depressive symptoms, but it's not a standalone, comprehensive or universally applicable solution
I believe relationships are a temporary relief from depressive symptoms. They don't address the underlying issues that contribute to depression. These issues include genetic predispositions, chemical imbalances, psychological and social factors, trauma and unhealthy relationships
Over-reliance on "romance" creates an imbalanced, unhealthy dynamic between partners. Excessive neediness or clinginess would place excessive pressure on one partner to meet the emotional demands of the other. The partner would feel overwhelmed, inadequate, or emotionally drained
Rather than promoting "romance" as a cure for depression, the media can emphasize the importance of having a broader network of support; friends, family, support groups, and mental health professionals
Can I just say the interaction between you 2 is so respectful and understanding. I never really seen this happen.…
All too often, online comment sections descend into unnecessary antagonism. I share your hope that healthy, constructive interactions become more frequent in the future 😊
That is not a good thing. They are using him to make profit. This is just disrespectful.
I believe that humanity has been the architect of human laws and societal norms, and as such, we are all responsible for making decisions and enforcing consequences. Governments assuming this power does not absolve us of our agency. The decisions of governing bodies are subject to the whims of popular opinion. They shouldn't be blindly obeyed
Another information:They're a band and not an idol group. The debut date is 2009, not 2008. The male lead is both…
Thank you for clarifying the matter. It is now apparent that the release date was chosen to fulfill a scheduling necessity. Your kind assistance has been invaluable
Transforming a personal and tragic experience of suicide into a fabricated, romanticized story for public entertainment is a gross misappropriation of that life's story. "Romance" is not a cure or panacea for depression. Depression is a multifaceted and complex condition requiring a combination of therapeutic interventions, social support, and, in some cases, pharmaceutical treatment
It could be a coincidence not directly related to a specific celebrity's suicide, but the timing of the drama's release or the year of the time slip does raise concerns. If the drama is inspired by a celebrity's tragedy, defending its misappropriation would be a worrying dissonance between our society's avowed commitment to mental health awareness and the manner in which we represent or engage with mental health
That is not a good thing. They are using him to make profit. This is just disrespectful.
There's a difference between creating fictional stories and profiting off real-life tragedies. Turning a real-life tragedy into a sensationalized, fictionalized "romance" does not do justice to the complex struggles and emotions that the depressed or suicidal person experienced. It's not beautiful. It's insensitive and disrespectful to their memory
We are the decision makers, judges and executioners. We should exercise that power responsibly
Obligatory comment to remind people that enjoying a genre of FICTION does not mean you agree with it in real life.…
The claim that most omegaverse works online are "completely wholesome" is misleading and false. Wholesome and omegaverse don't go together. Most omegaverse works contain explicit themes and non-consensual acts that can be triggering for readers
Low Tide in Twilight, Into the Rose Garden, Love Is An Illusion, Unfinished Business, Pendulum/Remnant: Jujin Omegaverse, Nindan - Danshikou de Ninshin Shita Ore, Dear Benjamin, Love Shuttle, The Origin of Species, Minmotion Syndrome, etc. They are popular omegaverse titles that feature inappropriate NSFW content. Omegas are generally unable to resist alphas and their pheromones. The genre relies on non-consensual dynamics to cater to readers' questionable, disturbing desires. Readers are subconsciously endorsing the immoral dynamics
Omegaverse doesn't explore gender roles. It presents traditional gender roles as predetermined, with each character's "type" (alpha, beta, omega) spoiling or dictating their personality, preferences, and social status. For example:
Alphas are dominant and aggressive Omegas are submissive and nurturing Betas are neutral and balanced
These roles are "inherent" to a character. They essentialize traditional gender roles, ignoring the complexity and diversity of experiences
Other fictional works featuring problematic content is not a justification for dismissing the harm caused by the omegaverse genre
Fiction does have the power to cause harm. Repeated exposure to omegaverse themes desensitize readers and normalize harmful gender roles or non-consensual behaviors. Your "omegaverse is wholesome uwu" comment is proof of that
We should hold ourselves to higher standards. We have a responsibility to be critical of the fiction we engage with
Fictional villains like Loki and Joker are different from real-life criminals. They are written with complex motivations, backstories, and character development. Their traumatic experiences, moral grey areas, or weaknesses make them relatable or sympathetic. The flatness of real-life criminals motivated by a desire for power is not relatable
People are less likely to sympathize with or support one-dimensional fictional villains motivated by a single, shallow reason. They don't have redeeming qualities or relatable traits
"... is full of people who saw one page of horrible manga and judged the entire genre for it"
You saw one page of a "wholesome" manga and judged the entire genre for it
They made it! They beat original version because they didn't have to fall into all the over loaded sex scenes…
I agree that "sexual content" is off-putting. Media creators rely on it as a crutch to cover up a lack of depth in storytelling or character development. But describing same-sex relationships as "twisted" isn't something I'd agree with
Producers withholding earnings and keeping profits to themselves is appalling. They should face severe consequences
Is there anything that I overlooked?

Forgiving and moving on won't address the underlying issues that led to infidelity. Counseling will be necessary to prevent it from happening again
