who says it's straight drama? Maybe it's gonna be ''queer coded'' like Untamed, Guardian and lot of other great…
I will be here to voice my disapproval of society's morally bankrupt decision to follow China's lead in censoring BL works

I don't care about big budgets, renowned actors, or extravagant settings. I care about courage. The low-budget BL productions that, despite their limitations, choose to show the physical affection between men are more meaningful and courageous than the disingenuous, homophobically tinged "they are just friends, or are they?" productions that tease the possibility of romance

A heavily censored BL adaptation loses its appeal for me

Physical affection is an important component of a healthy and fulfilling relationship. Gay couples kiss and have sex like everyone else. Removing kiss or sex scenes implies that their physical expressions of love are "gross." It does more harm than good

Progress will be made if we demand better representation and reject the censorship of BL adaptations

I like "Semantic Error." The chemistry between the male leads made up for the less polished aspects of the adaptation

Saying that a man "acts like a woman" isn't necessarily sexist

Certain behaviors or actions are traditionally associated with women. The feminine stereotypes have basis in observed patterns of behavior. The person making the statement looks for patterns, sees what most women do and draws conclusions based on their observations without making a statement about women as a whole. It'd be sexist if the statement implies that feminine behaviors are inferior to masculine behaviors

Should I start watching, or wait for the last three episodes to make sure no one pulls a surprise "hey, I'm pregnant!" plot twist on us?

I don't want to see one of the "alphas" transform into an omega halfway through

And isn't there usually at least a small romance plot in every genre of dramas. No matter if it's hospital drama,…
"Money dictates everything"

The over-reliance on money as a measure of success and value is a symptom of a deeper problem, namely, society's failure to recognize and value the non-monetary aspects of life

"This hardly has anything"

It had too much "romance" for my liking. You're a hopeless "romantic." You wouldn't agree with me 😂

Producers shouldn't let the majority dictate their creative vision. The better gems are the ones that go against the grain

Adding too much "romance" to a horror, thriller, mystery, crime, action, fantasy, etc, story is like adding too much salt to your food. It ruins the taste, and feels forced or contrived. It's a cheap tactic to appeal to the majority, without consideration for how it fits into the story

"Romance" and "sex" are weird and squirmy. They don't resonate with the people who experience little to no attraction. I'm one of those people. Chased by a giant mutant ex-human (Gyeongseong Creature) or a ghost with unfinished business, having a crush would be the last thing on my mind. I'd be busy running, and hoping my pants stayed clean. "Romance" isn't a natural, normal part of my life

You're diminishing and dismissing minority perspectives based on their perceived level of (un)popularity

It's time for more non-romantic dramas and movies that showcase the different ways people can find meaning and fulfillment in their lives, whether it's through their careers, their hobbies, or their relationships with family and friends

We should be able to critically examine the role of this "usual" occurrence, and question its necessity in every genre. Does "romance" add value to the story, or is it a formulaic plot device that has become worn out over time? Usually, it's the latter

Why those people making it an issue now? There are already a few Korean drama that has NSFW scene already, maybe…
Kissing can be considered NSFW. A quick peck on the lips isn't NSFW. A prolonged and explicit kiss is. It depends on the context

People have different comfort levels. They might be comfortable with horror and not romance. They might be comfortable with tragedy or slice of life and not romantic comedy. They might be comfortable with romance and not fantasy

There are plenty of dramas out there that don't include romance and kissing scenes. They are valid and entertaining

Close proximity between a male and female in dangerous situations, or any other situation really, over a period…
Dramas and movies should have an all-male or all-female main cast to avoid unnecessary complications

If men and women can't be trusted to work together without catching "feelings," we might as well build a wall between them. Don't worry, they could communicate through carrier pigeons or smoke signals

Hey, OP! Omegaverse fans are painting a rosy picture of the muddy mess that's omegaverse. They are demonizing the gay people who criticize it, and poisoning the minds of others with their misleading information. Don't listen to them

@MoistDrippings, psychiatry and sociology aren't "proven" fields. They are ongoing processes of investigation and refinement that are constantly changing

Omegaverse does romanticize abuse. It doesn't have to explicitly encourage "real life abuse" to be abusive. Its implicit, subtle messages contribute to a culture that trivializes and encourages abuse

Fiction doesn't exist in a vacuum. It has real-world consequences, acting as a mirror and reflecting or shaping the beliefs of the people who consume it

You're reducing my concerns around omegaverse to a flippant quip. I read enough omegaverse to know that it doesn't "challenge" gender roles in a productive, responsible way. The fantasy, unrealistic façade of omegaverse masks the undercurrent of troubling depictions of abuse, unequal power structures, and gender roles

"... REALLY hateful towards trans and GNC people"

Don't conflate GNC with "trans." They are different things

"... a huge number of queer people"

Due to its history as a pejorative, using "queer" to refer to us is disrespectful and invalidating. We are not "queer." We are gay

"They tend to call trans men fetishizing straight women"

They are right...

"They tend to hate all BL"

You're calling those gay men biased, and wearing your biases like a big ol' badge of honor!

They are wrong to "hate" BL, I would agree with that. The beauty of BL lies in its fearless embrace of gay relationships. The delicate dance of seme and uke, or top and bottom, is a subversion, a disruption, a flag planted in the soil of heteronormativity. A man topping and bottoming is a sweeping departure from toxic masculinity. It's a bold declaration of self-expression

Omegaverse is straight-up straight. Omegas wear a label of "different." Underneath the veneer, they are women re-wrapped in fancy paper. Women who become pregnant as a result of "sexual" abuse. That's not progress, it's stagnation

Oh, and, you blocked me. You're running from the conversation...
