It's popular I think because of the genre. However you can still enjoy the drama even if you didn't like game, I like it very well, cheng xiao is an idol so her acting is not the best, but I think she fits this character. I also really like the leads relationship, I also like how later xukai's character changes after he falls in love, he's just so different from his when he first met her lol 🤣

I think some dramas have a slow start, I like this drama because it's so different from other dramas I usually watched. I also didn't start to like the story until the ml's brother came back, after that I just really love all the team members and root for them, and the leads and second leads couples are very cute together ^^

Wonderland of love has the same director as legend, but the direction and execution is so much better than the legend that i couldn't believe it's the same director who made such a mess of the legend. This drama adaptation is so much tighter, and not draggy as the legend, it's just a better drama overall, it just benefits from having less episodes, also the screen writer is also the author of the novel as a result she really knows how to gives screen times to the main leads and the focus being on the leads makes this drama so enjoyable because they have so much chemistry ^^

That why I say depends on your preference, I like many of his dramas because they're the type of dramas that I like, to me they're good dramas with some flaws, and that's why I hope xukai will get better resources and be in better production so he can show his full potential as an actor.

I think it's just his haters that said that about him. He has some dedicated haters who came to every drama of his to complain about his acting every time he has a new drama. I remember back when I was watching ancient love poetry, this person keeps commenting in the drama about him being a bad actor and even went to his channel to speak badly about him. It's kind of touching having someone that in love with an actor that they can't stop talking about him even though they said they dropped all his dramas because he's a bad actor lol 😂

This is not the fault of the drama for not getting the heat index as there're two sword and fairy, the viewers attention are divided so it's the fault of the platforms that are airing these two dramas. Iquyi wants to compete with tencent by releasing sword and fairy 4 one day early without any promotion. If these two dramas released at different times, I think they would've been much more popular if they're not competing with each other.

It's not that his dramas are not good, it's that most of his costars are not traffic stars. Also many times I come across comments that are rarely about the dramas, and most complaints I'm seeing is chemistry, look or age of the actress. Xukai is an actor and not an idol, so most of the fans who watches his dramas will not defend his dramas if they're truly bad, but that is not the case. He has many types of fans who watches his dramas, and these dramas appeal to different groups of people. Popular dramas that have good ratings are not without flaws either, they just have more traffic stars, or these actors/actresses have fans who defended their dramas even if they're bad.

It's not that xukai's unreliable, I watched many of his dramas and like most of them, some of his dramas I was disappointed in the execution or the ending, but I don't think it's his fault most of cdramas are like that. Anyway people have different preferences so can't put the blame on xukai for not liking a drama for example I heard some people dropped snow eagle lord on the first ep because of the sfx, xukai has no control over that. I also heard some people dropped sf6 because they didn't like the beginning or because of ester voice. These things are out of the control of the actor/ actress, I would advise those people who dropped the drama on the first ep to don't rate the drama if they don't even watch the drama because it's unfair to the drama and those who work on this drama, and those who interest in watching the drama and might be turn away because of the low rating.

This comment section is for talking about the drama not for you to spread your hate on an actress. She's a capable actress if she's being sought after and giving main roles. Also she didn't start out to have main roles as I see she also has support roles. Also many idols actors/actresses start out with main roles even when they don't have any experiences in acting. She's being acknowledge for her acting and voice dub so you're clearly hating on her for no other reason than she's popular. Also I only know ester as the female lead for this drama no one else, so stop with your lies.

The problem is there're haters rating the dramas before they're even air, so the viewers here are rating the unair eps to balance those rating. If you look at the two swords and fairy, only sf6 have many people rated the unaireps to the last ep. They haven't seen the drama so how are they rating the drama down if not to bring the drama rating down. Most people who watch drama don't rate drama until the eps air, only a few diehard hard fans would do this because they like the drama no matter what, but this drama have so many people rating the unaired eps for it not to be the work of haters. To correct this problem is to not let people rate the unair eps before they have watch the drama, this is a flaw in mdl rating system.

Wol has stay consistently at 9.5, that would be nice if more viewers watch and rate it, rating will surely go up ^^

I would like for them to promote this drama but I heard it's not allowed because of government restrictions on video games for children. This drama is an adaptation of a video game, that's why tencent is so low-key in promotions is what I heard. Xukai will have a variety show to promote his modern drama but not for this one.

Was checking viki and someone commented xukai only has good look and needs to get down and dirty. It's so easily to spot a hater, xukai has been in so many action dramas and he got injured multiple times in his dramas. This person doesn't watch any of his dramas to complain about xukai is so obvious. This drama only just started and we don't even know what the main leads will go through, to complain about his character like they have seen the whole drama must've seen the future lol 😆

I don't expect everyone to like every drama xukai is in. Also I remember someone was telling me this drama will not air because of billing issue, and then it air drop after rumor of sf6 airing date. It's not the only drama of iquyi that do this, that's why I think iquyi is doing it purposely to compete with tencent. I'm not hating on sf4, I just think the release of both dramas at the same time are not doing both dramas any service and divided the attention of fans who want to check both dramas out and could cause fan war between fans of both dramas as the people here are blaming sf6 for the low rating.
