Let me ask what drama is he monotone in his dubbing exactly. Granted he has an accent and he only started dubbing for his modern dramas since she and her perfect husband and I like his voice just fine in that drama. I guess if you didn't finish any dramas of his then that just means those drama probably not to your preference? since I would say I watched most of those dramas because xukai chose those projects and I like most of them, they totally to my preference. Lots of time I think those people who dropped dramas really do themselves a disservice for they're missing out some true gems lol. I don't usually watch dramas for a certain actor, but xukai is an exception, even when some dramas have problems in its execution and editing, or he got less screen times i still finish them because I want to find out about his characters and in my opinion he's an actor to look out for because he's always challenging himself in each of his role.

From what I understand lini is the emperor grandson, but the heir to the kingdom is his cousin the crown prince's son, so what happened to him now. The emperor and crown prince died so why is the crown princess with the general, is she not worry for her own son who gone missing. Is she just pretending in order to save herself, also is lini father a weakling or is he pretending to be one. Those two old people were so sweet, so sad they died. Lini seems to be much more hotheaded compare to cuilin, his character in here is so different from his characters from his recent dramas much like his character from arsenal military academy.

Agree with everything you said about his character. What I said love is blind is he suspected what she was capable of, but still choosing to give her the benefits of the doubt because of his love for her. Even to the point of hiding her crimes from baijue and sacrificed his own son to keep her secret. I said I felt pity for him because his love is just that pitiful, she just pretended to cry and apologized for killing his teacher and said it was all a mistake and he was ready to believe her. I think he was as delusional as her for choosing to think she could change and becomes a different person just because she told him so.

It's kind of similar to the love tianqi has for shanggu, he was willing to sacrifice the three realms to save one person and in the end it's the people who are closed to him that pay the price, yuemi died saving him from wuhuan, his own loyal beast died from the poison flower while defending the demon realm from wuhuan's son even though he knew all along she's in love with another man and will never returns his love. Although having shanggu as the object of love for tianqi is still so much better than wuhuan for muguang since she is much more in love with herself than her own family, at least shanggu still cares for tianqi like a brother, wuhuan treated muguang like a fool because she knew he would forgive her whatever she does as long as she cries and asks for forgiveness.

You're right, now I understand why it got 7 rating when it just aired, drama hasn't air those eps and already someone has too much free time on their hands to rate those eps to bring down the drama rating. There should be a rule on mdl that eps that have not air can't be rated, and those who watch drama can only rate drama after it air at half point to get an accurate rating rather than an overall rating to a drama that hasn't finished airing.

Watch the first ep and I'm already liking fl and ml dynamic. Also fl is shows to be smart and strong exactly the type of fl I like. Ml's father is such a weakling, how can he take the role of emperor when he cowardly kneeling to that general that killed his family. What a bad father speaking ill of his own son. Why does fl think ml's family have no talent, is he hiding his true talents that's why he was banished to the border by his father and grandfather?

Not all roles are the same, and will require different acting style. I love all the different roles he plays, and I agree he's not always natural and it was done on purpose as required for the roles. I'm also tend to focus on eyes acting and really love xukai in the different roles he plays.

Are you listening to anti, as a fan who watches all xukai's dramas I think he has many successful roles including the one he won best actor for in arsenal military academy. I also really like his character in ancient love poetry, court lady, once upon a time in lingjian mountain, she and her perfect husband, falling into your smile, etc. And in term of actresses, I like them all equally. I think the reason his dramas are not popular because the actress he pair with tend to be older or not good looking enough for cdrama standards. After ancient love poetry getting so much criticisms over the actor and actress look, I stop believing anything that came out when it comes to criticizing about his acting, those anti don't even watch the drama but talks like they know what they're talking about.

Why would this drama receive a bad review though, I could understand why snow eagle lord would get bad review since it didn't follow novel, and the production was not as high as wonderland of love; this drama screenwriter is also the writer of novel so I'm sure we will get the adaptation as close to novel. I think there're some haters that down vote dramas otherwise why dramas just started and already got bad rating. I doubt those people even watched the dramas, so don't be let down by the low rating. Also in my experience of watching dramas, nothing is as it seems, dramas can be funny in beginning, but later will becomes more serious and vice versa.

Why do you watch all his dramas if you can't connect to his acting. I think you must've like his acting enough to find dramas he's in. I love him from story of yanxi palace and I think he's very good at understanding his characters and their motivation. I have so many characters I like from him especially in arsenal military academy, once upon a time in lingjian mountain, court lady, ancient love poetry, etc.

Do you rate drama by ep or overall score. I heard if you vote by ep drama will increase in score if it has lots of rating. That's why when I watch a drama I rate drama by ep rather than the overall score since I think it's too early to give an overall score until I finish the drama.

As international fans, it's hard to find any news about how dramas are doing besides mdl, and I don't think international fans are as toxic as cfans are. I know fans fight can start over little thing, but I think we're mature and know when things get out of hand. I didn't understand very well why fans started a fight and the actors are supposed to take the blame for their toxic behaviors. I saw a comment on bailu page saying something like xukai and bailu fans fight and he stopped follow her. Not sure what he could've done there since I know both of them unfollow each other probably to stop the fans fight. Not sure why they think xukai's fans have that much free time to attack bailu either. In china antifans seem to be a thing, and any untoward behaviors will be look down or judge negatively like what happened to Angela baby and the actress who played in ancient love poetry forgot her name or xukai cheng, both of them had a dating rumor and he even had a cheating rumor started by his ex girlfriend, so I know some cnetz could be very judgemental on the both of them. I think xukai dramas and movie took a year before they were able to air due to those negative rumors, and I assumed the same thing with bailu.

This drama only has 4 eps released for vip and two for free user, so already haters rating this drama down to bring down the rating. I used to trust in mdl rating, but it looks like this has turn into douban where antifans would rate down other dramas not of their favorites. I'm sad I can't trust in the rating on mdl anymore, it just looks like only dramas with popular actors will get high rating since they have massive fans to vote their dramas.

I don't think she means any harm when she said bailu has some great scripts. Her recent dramas on mdl all start at 8.0 or above I think that's what she meant. People tend to judge a drama at first glance by looking at the rating of the drama without watching any episodes, so they automatically think dramas with better rating are due to having great scripts. Don't take it to heart, I also hope xukai will come into a great script and get more recognition. What you said about xukai is true, his dramas all have different themes and that's what attracted me to watch his dramas since I feel he's always challenging himself and looking to improve on his acting by playing different roles and in different genres.

We're getting so much materials and even a new trailer for the upcoming release of wonderland of love. This drama is not shy of promoting itself and I'm loving it ^^
