From my understanding sokp was delayed from airing at the last minute so it's gotten more hype and it broke breakers in number of reservations due to the delay. That's why iquyi didn't need to do any promotion for it and can just air drops the drama. Wol has some promotion a few days before it aired with a photoshoot and BTS of the drama released of main leads. This is the most promotion i seen from a drama of xukai.

So this drama is airing on TV. What materials they're releasing for this drama do you know?

Correction ml's father is brother to the crown prince. He's the 17 grandson of the emperor.

Yeah I think they both were attract to each other from the first time they met, that's why they're competitive because they've met they match ^^ What I meant was she didn't know who he was when they first met, she didn't know he was the emperor grandson lini because she thought his whole family were not capable until she met him and realizes how wrong she was.

I enjoyed loss in Kunlun mountain, but was really disappointed with the ending. I think they must've cut a lot to make it such a mess 😞

There was a scene in the drama when she was thinking aloud that the li family was not capable. When she met him, she mistakes him for general Pei's son so that said as much how little she thought of him and his family. I know she will fall in love with him as we seen in ep 6 when she talked about him to her friend and said he's someone to not be underestimated, so we can see her opinion of him has changed and she realizes he has been hiding his talents all along.

Fl and her family are not loyal to the traitor. They however also think ml's family are not very capable, as a result they're all in it for themselves. Ml is the grandson of the emperor but he's not the heir since the crown prince has a son who has went missing but is still alive. Some of those who're loyal to the last emperor want him to take the throne in place of the true heir since he's still a child but he doesn't care about power. The traitor probably wanting to use the child and rule through him by taking crown princess as his consort. Yeah this drama does start in an unusual spot so it will take watching more eps to get the entire picture. However I think in term of being allies I think both ml and fl do have a common enemy the traitor general that's why I think in the future they will teamed up to work together to fight against him.

I think this is a first tencent drama of xukai that got good promotion. His other dramas with tencent didn't get the same treatment.

They're well known actresses so it won't be as easy to attack them like those less well known actresses beside chang Xiao and yang mi. It was kind of comical the way those actresses get bash and he got blame for the poor rating. Anyway I'm looking forward to his future dramas with these actresses. Yang zi and seven tan I seen before, and they have great chemistry with their ml's, haven't seen anything with Esther yu, so looking forward to that pairing too ^^

It's rare to see a drama where most of the males are smart enough to tell fl is a woman even when she dressed up as male ^^

I heard drama deviated from novel. So if you read novel you might like it better. As you like action you will like xukai in this since he does most of the fight scenes ^^

He's but he paired with many older actresses or actresses those cnetz think are not good looking so they were brutal on them and attacking them as dramas aired scaring potential watchers thinking dramas are not good. To each their own, some of his dramas also very slow in romance development, so potential watchers might be less interested if they're watching only for romance...Till the end of the moon has bailu and luo yunxi pairing both had a following for their modern drama so it already had words of mouth even before it aired so whether it's good or bad it will bring viewers. I feel bad for older actresses, unlike older actors who could pair with younger women and nobody complained, but when it's the opposite they will be called old. It's sexist even in this day and age.
