I can see that too, he's really good at matching with the actresses he worked with. His character in yanxi palace as fuca fuheng is very mature, and he was in his early 20s when he played him, really impresses me. He's still my second lead syndrome still this day ^^

Just want to say there was a phrase in this drama i really like when humans are in trouble they pray to the gods to help them, but when gods are in trouble, who do they pray to? Just want to share with everyone ^^

I do, but i still watch it all without any skipping lol. Compare to the king's avatar where they play only one character through out the game, so you can identify who is playing, for this drama i gave up since they keep changing the characters they're playing, toward the end i knew about the rules of the game and just enjoy their bantering while in game as well as the game animation ^^

I'm not that surprised since they're gods and they have a way to come back comparing to being a mortal, once you died game over. When tianqi was showed to still be alive when he was killed by baijue, i was hoping more people to come back as well including yuemi, although i heard she was reincarnated into the child rescue by houchi but it wasn't highlight in drama and only in novel. Baijue's soul was destroy and he was able to come back due to shanggu refusal to give up on their happiness, i love myself a happy ending so i will take it anyway i can get it ^^

I think he like working with actresses with more experience than him, so he can learn from them. He said in some of his interviews he wants to improve on his acting, and become a better actor, so that could be the reason he's pair with older actresses. But if the right scripts come along, i think he will work with more younger actresses ^^

That's fine, my opinion is just as valid, just because a few comments not liking a drama i'm liking it doesn't mean i will like the drama they liking either. It's call reference, the poster above said it's draggy i feel it's too short, i love plot and characters development and this drama gives me the feeling of meeting my expectation, plus i like most of the characters in here. Even though wuhuan is bad, i really like her development, she was someone i liked in the beginning because she was just a simple girl who gradually change by her ambition. Baijue is a complex character who at first meeting is cold but as we start to see him in shanggu's eyes he's a gentle person who is just not use to be around people, his awkwardness is just too cute when he's around her. Shanggu being childish at first but becoming more mature as she learns from baijue, every character has a story to tell i love it ^^

I agree with you. If you like the drama then that drama is good, no need for others validation. That why i don't care about rating because rating don't always reflect how good a drama is because now a day people can make accounts to hate on a drama just for reasons of hating the actor/actress or to make dramas they like have better rating or have no competition, very silly to me but this speak of popularity rather than the quality of the drama.

That true, i don't care about look so much, but for this drama the ml is known for his good look, he gets more compliment for his look in the drama than the fl lol. The fl is not describes as beautiful, so i don't get why those cnets keep attacking her for her look, or ml being called fat, really crazy these kind of toxic comments would do to an actor/ actress and their self-esteem or speaking of a society that only cares about face value and anorexic body type structure. In my opinion both xukai and zhou dong yu play their part perfectly and they give a feeling of don't judge a book by its cover because the strongest being look like teenagers ^^

There were lots of viewers who only watched a few eps and rated it low, so they're just anti-fans who want to bring down the drama rating, so she's not wrong. Do i keep hearing douban is not reliable, anyway because it's impossible for this drama not to be consider one of the best story ever written, for sure it's my favorite among xanxia dramas ^^

I have to disagree. This is one of the best story i've seen in a long time. Great character development for all characters even the baddies. Also i feel so attach to the characters even now after finished watching, i'm still listening to the osts and i can't move on from shanggu and baijue love story. I feel for both of them when speaking of duties as true gods, to give up your own desire for the good of others, baijue as ml is just bad ass imagine splitting yourself apart in order to protect the fl and change her destiny, we keep hearing from tianqi and gujun when they talked about the pain that he was feeling i can't imagine that pain either, or making himself the bad guy so she would hate him and move on. The happy ending we got at the end was meant for shanggu, baijue has accepted his fate when he died for her and his soul was destroyed, shanggu refuses to give up and gotten her prayer at the end, the chief god owe her and gave her her wish. Just sad their happy ending is so short :( Among the ml i seen in ancient love poetry, eternal love and ashes of love, i have to say i love baijue the most, as well as the other sides of him as boxuan and qingmu ^^

Main story start at ep 17. But the god realm is a must watch, you will appreciate the peace before everything starts to go sour. That is how most of us viewers feel about this drama. Hope you stick with it ^^
