What I love about this drama is the fl and ml sacrifices for each other. I think it's rather unique concept compare to other dramas I seen. Also I think as females we think it's romantic when ml sacrifices for the fl rather than the other way around. There should be more dramas like this, where both ml and fl share equal burden ^^

This drama was the first drama xukai filmed, plus it has most of his leading ladies wu Jin Yan, bailu, wu jaiyi, li yitong ^^

Heard the rumor this is a prequel to good bye my princess with xukai and jing tian, is this real?

The only other e-sport dramas I watched are love 020 and king avatar. This one has more gaming than love 020 and does have romance between the main leads compare to king avatar. I like all three dramas, but in term of e-sport I prefer this one and the king avatar. You can try a few eps up to 10, if it doesn't catch you interest, then maybe it's not for you.

Yeah I see the tag harem. I just don't want to see xukai in another drama having to chase after the girl and being hurt by her. Although I heard there is a rumor with him and another actress Jing tian, so this might be another fake rumor.

I don't think you should waste your time on commenting to her. Chemistry is subjective, if she doesn't want to see the chemistry between main leads then she won't see it. I argued with some CP fans of bailu and xukai before, and you can't convince them xukai can have chemistry with other actresses since they're too obsess with their ship. Also in term of acting, I think xukai is a natural actor, he can play mature and childish really well, as well as serious and comedic roles. My first drama of xukai is story of yanxi palace and I was impressed with how he was able to portray this character being he was in his early 20. Then I seen him in the legend and arsenal military academy with bailu, I like the couple but I also like him with other actresses in his other dramas, so I'm not a cp fan, any way long story short I seen many dramas with good looking actors but the one that impressed me the most is xukai, and I think also because most of his dramas have good scripts with strong female leads. Even if some do worse than others either by editing problems or other issues like straying from original novels, I still enjoy most of his dramas, that's what matter ^^

The comments section in this drama is not toxic. Don't be afraid to write your comment. I just seen too many comments regarding rating that I just gotten annoyed by it. It's better to write constructed criticism of a drama rather than complain about rating. It's good to have discussion of what we like about the drama, and what it could improve on. If you like the drama enough, you can write a review about it ^^

It's not just the main leads fandom, since most of their dramas don't get the same interest, and yours is one opinion among many. It's just the appeals of this drama, it's in the same genre as go go squid, the king avatar, etc all focus on e'sport some done better than others.

I don't think writing comment is a waste of time, but I do think comments complaining about rating is a waste of time. Most of those dramas that have high rating usually have popular actors/actresses, some really good dramas don't always get the high rating they deserve. For this drama it appeals to lots of people and that's why the high rating and I can see it's appeal since it's lighthearted and not as heavy as some dramas of xukai.

His character has always been the sarcastic one. And I find fl to be young and tend to react with her feeling which in turn could cause trouble for her and her team, ml is older and a captain, so he is much more level headed.

I just find it a waste of time, but you're welcome to it. I don't waste my time for doing such thing though. I agree not everyone will like the same thing, who know something you like might not be like by others as well, and they also think they're overated ^^

Thanks for letting me know this. It just weird to me being bother over a drama getting a high rating. I think this drama being that popular must have its own appeal to many people, I'm glad it's get the high rating and certainly deserves it. Anyway happy new year 🎉

Not just baijue and qingmu, but also shanggu and houchi. Shanggu sacrifice was the start of everything, also houchi went behind qingmu back and accept her punishment to be banished for 100 years forcing them both to be apart even after they gotten married.

How will he tell her when he knows it would put her in a situation where she has to make a choice between him and her family. Houchi purpose all along was to find boxuan when she first met qingmu. He knew he might disappeared, but she will get her family back and that's why he didn't say anything. It's a hard choice to make for anyone, especially with someone like houchi who values family so much.

Ancient love poetry has so many actors/actresses from other dramas I watched ten miles of peach blossom, legend of fu zhao, story of yanxi palace, falling into your smile, dance of the sky empire, court lady, under the power... They all contribute to make this great drama ^^
