And here I thought word of honor is wuxia. Xanxia is about god/demon and the heavenly realm etc. In my opinion I like ancient love poetry better than ashes of love. My criteria for what makes a good drama is has to have plots and has strong females. In this drama I really love most of the females on here from main to support. Even wuhuan is a bad girl I find her character development believable. Also the main leads have their own responsibility rather than only care about love I like that much better than in ashes of love. Haven't seen love and redemption, since the reason I started watching this drama is for xukai and it turn out to be the best drama I ever seen.

Hating the emperor is a thing lol, and I think he is handsome. He was the one that pushed fuheng to married er qing causing both of them to be unhappy. Er qing was always jealous and her treatment of one of his maid causes him to turn against her. Their marriage was doom from the start since she used trick to push him to marry her. Like you blame fuheng for how er qing turned bad, I blame the emperor for how some of his wives turn bad. Having too many wives is a problem for sure, but the way they turn on each other stem from their jealousy, and this could've been prevented if he has been more affectionate to them. I admire wei ying luo and in my opinion she is a very strong woman and know to play the game making the emperor interest in her while not showing her true feeling. Just like how she said to the second empress the one to declare her feeling first is the loser, I don't think she truly loves him if she always on her guard, because she knows her livelihood is on the line and the emperor will lose interest if she gave him her heart. She wouldn't fall like the first and second empress did. While with fuheng she gave up her feeling for him when he got married, but I think she never gotten over that feeling and her promise to him is what she feel in her heart but can't express out loud since it's forbidden.

I like the main and support couples. If you like drama with little misunderstanding between couples, where the girlfriend is supportive of her boyfriend and vice versa. I also like the friendship between the fl and her best friend. Also this drama has many kiss scenes if you're into that. I agree with you about the fl in romantic scenes, but the ml made up for that, and make me like their chemistry. In term of her acting she fit the image of a cool gamer, so my opinion give it a chance and watch a few more eps to see if it will change your mind. The main leads didn't get together until ep 21.

I think the poster was talking about xanxia drama, word of honor I didn't watch but I know it was base on a bl novel and bl is a popular genre. I think for this drama, those people who watch are so critical on the actress's look that they couldn't look past it to give the drama a chance. Sure the drama has a slow beginning but the plot is amazing beating those other popular xanxia in term of plot and
cohesive storyline as well as the love story in my opinion.

She has her own story, the little girl Houchi rescue and qingmu train is yuemi reincarnation. If there's a season 2, it will be their story probably ^^

Bubblegum is still good, the contents are different. In falling into your smile I like the topic of cyber bullying and there was some focus between fans and idols interaction. Also the couples don't have misunderstanding and have very healthy interaction which I appreciate. Both have their own draws so I enjoy both ^^

This is because you don't like xanxia? This is a very popular genre among many fans who love this genre. I'm not a big fan of it but I do watch a few shows with the same genre, for me the big draw is the fantasy element as well as the cgi and the plot. For fl, this is my first drama of her, so I can't say how good she's as an actress but for this drama alone I like her character
portrayal. A lot of time an actor/actress get criticism for their acting when in fact they just play how the characters were written. I love plot so dramas that many think are boring are the type I enjoy, as well as dramas that focus on character development.

What eps did u drop? There is a reason why many who watched this show fell in love with it, most didn't like it in the beginning but willing to give it a chance. This drama does have a slow beginning, but in my opinion has the best plot among the xanxia dramas I seen. It's alright if you don't like since we don't always share the same like and dislike. But I do recommend this drama to those who love xanxia and want a different love story than the usual ordinary love story.

I keep seeing his height as 1,85cm in some site like Viki. There's another actor with the same first name xukai Cheng, his height is 1,88cm I think. I'm really confused which is xukai real height 🙄

The problem with censorship is so many good dramas are ruined because of censorship for ex court lady is such a good drama, but so many edits due to censorship that toward the end the viewers have to piece scenes together to get what is going on 😆

I like this more than love 020, then again I love e'sport theme drama. Love 020 became boring after the novelty wore off, while this one stay exciting and I like the main couple being on the same team supporting each other. The fl proves herself as the first female e'sport player, and the side couple is also cute when the girlfriend bought her boyfriend club to show her support lol ^^. The acting is also good, the fl is still a new actress so she will have time to improve.
