Yuzheng has work with many actresses beside li yitong and they left and establish themselves after working with him including li yiyong. Li yitong is not a copycat, how many actresses have you been comparing to zhao liying and called them copycat, aren't you tired of repeating the same thing.

I don't understand this kind of thinking that it was a betrayal to date an ex of a friend after they broke up. What is the appropriate time to be dating an ex of a friend? The only thing that is hurting the fl is the friend kept it a secret from her. She even went to this friend's wedding showing she wasn't hurt and has moved on with her life. I think the only thing this friend has done wrong is hiding it from her friends, the fl two other friends think it's a betrayal since they're loyal to her, this friend in order to not losing their friendship has to lie and say it was the ex that pursue her instead of she doing the pursuing. Regardless it wasn't because she was hurt that she decides to fall for the ml, it was because of a bet and she loss, the ml would not have pursue the matter, but the fl chose to go through with it because she was attracted to him and after hearing he would honor his promise to her if she won their bet.

I would like to see xukai in this kind of drama ^^

There're so many strong women in this drama, my kind of drama. Deserve a much higher rating. One of the best roles of xukai, hope to see him in this genre again something less serious and less tragic maybe.

Xukai is excellent in all his dramas and i do have many favorite roles from him from different genres and this is one of my favorite roles from him in republican era. I hope to see him in another republican era it's been a long time since he has done this genre.

I was thinking everything was going well, that his new drama the one he's shooting now will treat him better than many of his projects in the past seeing the many outfits he in makes me think it has a bigger budget compare to his previous dramas, so all the negatives i'm hearing now making me question everything whether this drama is really in trouble or his fans are just exaggerating the problem because of their anxiety wanting the drama to be a success? I hope xukai luck in choosing his next project and finding a good team who will treat him well 🙏

Oh yeah you're right i forgot about those students of his they were much younger than shanggu, and she is going to become the ruler of the three realms so her status is different from them, and his style of teaching is kind of special as you said. He trained shanggu by having her battle devils and send her to the devil realm to train, but then he changed his mind when she made a bet with him and won, it was by that time that his feeling for her is known, before that we can conclude he care for her as his student and want her to succeed in becoming the ruler of the three realms because he has always hold his duty above all else until he start to have feeling for shanggu. I didn't read novel, so in novel baijue fell for shanggu first good to know ^^

You have a point. Everything is a first for him, he also never has a student before shanggu. The first indication of his feeling for her is when they finished a mission together and she found out he lied to her and he asked hongri for help to apologize to her. Until that point she already has strong feeling for him, while his feeling for her was still a mystery that why i said she fell for him first her feeling for him at first was a crush because she likes his good look and gradually become stronger as she start to understood him, the same with his opinion about her was change after seeing her hard work and he is start to see her as his student and start caring and being protective toward her.

I hope this is all just fans speculation and is not true. Why would this producer want to trepadize his own drama ml just for yuzheng, that is too farfetch. Also about the funding that is even more ridiculous to think they don't have the funding for war/court/battle scenes. This drama is suppose to be S+ isn't it i find it hard to believe they can't film those scenes and is running out of funding. I hope those fans are wrong and the producer is just picky and just prioritize those scenes for later, let pray for the smooth shooting of this drama, there's more to a drama than having a good budget it's also having a good team behind it.

Good question, who is the screenwriter for this drama? Is the author of the novel also the screenwriter, that does happens sometimes when the screenwriter is also the author of the novel that could be the reason why the screenwriter name is not listed?

Who told you the novel is not good? From the synopsis i think it has potential to be a break out drama with xk and zy being the main leads. I been holding my excitement for this drama just from a few stills here and there and seeing xk in so many different color outfits i'm feeling this drama will give a completely different character from xk than we've seen before and i love a strong fl that i'm sure zy will be able to showcase base on the drama i seen her in she would make a nice pairing opposite xk ^^

I heard a while back xk contract with yuzheng was renew already? Don't know how true that is but xk can pick whatever dramas he want to be in without needing yuzheng approval. Even if he left his agency it will not be easy to set out on his own, he needs a competent team and they been failing him in his past projects by letting him be sideline too many times cause yuzheng want to promote new talents.
