Lin Canglan is pretty cruel to Lin Haoqing, yeah but that is because he wants to make him cruel enough to take over his position & power, its still a fatherly thing & he uses Yunhe as a training dog for his son's growth. That's something different. The novel mentions all demon masters as being children with hidden veins who are seized from their parents & sent to demon valleys of 4 directions. Either her parents are killed or whatever happened was never explored. I am yet to understand drama with dialogues, I remember a scene of Lin Canglan pushing someone off the cliff instilling fear in Yunhe, don't know what that was, I thought at first drama created a scene of her parent there being pushed off, but ig that was just someone random....

"tons of money" = very inappropriate assumption/speculation. Please, don't assume things like this on your own. If Dilraba is in a project, ofc it'd be a huge budget one, & she is good friends with Wu Lei, both are actors of the calibers who dive for roles with great scripts now, so if they are in, its for the script & their collab, not money. Also, she likes to work with new actors as in not the same actors from jaywalk over & over again. I'm sure she'll be willing to work again with Wu Lei, Yang Yang & Allen Ren or Gong Jun if the roles, script & production are great.
Qing Yao is added in the drama, there was no such character in the novel, but both are demons of the nine-tailed fox types, from the same Qing Fox clan i guess.
The cast list here needs some serious checking & verifying, I went to check some characters & found Qu Xiao Xing listed under an actor who's completely different & older. Also the least important support characters appear in the main drama page with the main supports like Luo Luo, Lin Haoqing, Xue San Yue, Li Shu etc way down (never appearing in the main page, so the ordering needs correction). I tried editing but had no source to back it up so it was rejected, if anyone is knowledgeable enough, I request you to correct the cast list kindly with accurate information.
