Not really... long is subjective, but there are many people regard a drama with 49 episode is long, especially…
Isn't the regulation of max 40 eps just recent? TLB was filmed & scheduled afterwards as far as I knew. And I think 24 ep length cdramas are pretty rare. I only see 50+ lengths. So, the real intention was to use "lengthy/long" as a metaphor for the title?
Di Sheng Tian damn. She's such an insanely awesome character. One of my favorites. The actress playing her also…
Actually, a lot of characters with their actors haven't been enlisted in the cast in MDL. There are more (even an additional character), hopefully we'll get them soon!
Rumor Reba and xiao zhan team up for doulou continent 2
Dilraba & Xiao Zhan need a new, fresh & grand drama. Not the kind of passed down role DC FL had is Dilraba's cup of tea anymore, so I'm sure she won't pick it. If Tencent wants to pair them up ( we want too!!), not Duoluo Continent for heaven's sake ! Their collab will be wasted -_- Feng Lai Qi's role is a far better choice than DC.
Also there are just too many rumors speculating her next drama, but I'm not getting hyped until she confirms after the spring fest.
This is a great article but the title is kinda misleading lol Lengthy isn't the right word for The Long Ballad whereas all chinese dramas have mostly more episodes than it does.
I can't wait to see Zhan Xiao Nan play Di Sheng Tian. And I am happy both Yuan Shu and Qin Lang are both here.
Di Sheng Tian damn. She's such an insanely awesome character. One of my favorites. The actress playing her also looks good, though I haven't seen her anywhere. Yuan Shu, Yuan Qin & Lin Lang's actresses also look very pretty & perfect for their great roles!
I've been holding out (huge) hope since the filming period since his name was conspicuously missing and people…
Maybe or maybe because he was heavily rumored to be a part of screenplay as the article suggests, but he's nowhere mentioned officially, so yeah there's no point in keeping his name in this drama page either.
Little kid holding Raba's hand? He must be Han Yun, the youngest prince, Han Ye's brother.
Wow! There's an additional character! Nice. "Ningxi" sounds like derivation from An Ning's name. I always thought they would name their kid with An Ning's name T_T Mdl doesn't have all actors & characters listed it seems.
GOOD NEWS Chinese sites like Baidu & Douban, enlisted Xing Ling (author of the novel), with a band of other new writers, as the screen writer of LOA. Rao Jun's name is nowhere, it was/is only a rumor, which apparently was never confirmed, so idk why MDL enlists him as the screenwriter.
I can be at peace now. The author definitely will give justice to her characters. I was worried over Di Zi Yuan getting ruined. Huff! Big relief!
While waiting, some of us are on the lookout for younger female leads who might one day replace Dilraba, should…
I know what you are talking about, I have already watched ByeBye comedy night 2021 after it came out, those that she told on the stage were jokes very relatable & appropriate for her age & mom, & that also highlights the fact to her fans who followed her all along her growth that how much confident & strong & invulnerable she has grown out to be, when these exact words would hurt her before, she can now crack them as jokes like a confident Queen. We are never saying we want Dilraba to act for us & never to leave us because of our selfishness but we will support her as long as she is pursuing her career or even if she switches to another career, or settles down. The way you talk about replacing her so easily even before she herself even thought of quitting might be your freedom to do so, but sounds very disrespectful.
You are talking about Yang Mi, Zhao Liying & so many other actresses, but they got married, gave birth & are still the TOP traffic artists, taking a break for a while didn't even leave any mark in their career. Those who choose to quit, its their right & choice, so whatever Dilraba decides in the future is also her own choice, she doesn't need anyone's unnecessary assumptions which regard her as a candidate to be easily replaced.
Also, we don't watch only Dilraba's dramas, we also have other favorites, but we don't go scouting people & talking about replacing her with others, that's the point. I'm not sure if I got through to you, seeing how you keep on countering without getting the point over & over again. You can keep your thoughts about other actresses replacing her to yourself actually as a respect & spare her the unnecessary speculations which she never worded herself.

"Replace" is a word of trigger indeed. I mean, Dilraba isn't necessarily the only artist on earth, nor does everyone try to be her, nor does her years of hard work disappear just because someone else gets in the game. If that were the case, Zhao Liying & Yang Mi wouldn't exist anymore after Dilraba rose, right? They are different individual artists with their own achievements & names, with none replacing none.

Dude, she talked about her ideal type of man years ago as well, maybe back in 2017/18, actors & actresses casually talk about ideal guys all the time when asked, that doesn't mean they're gonna get married. Years back she said she would marry before 30, but now she confidently announces she won't marry as a distinction to her character Qiao Jing Jing. You can get ready to admire other actresses or whatever, but there's just no need to talk about her replacement, that's kinda hurtful. That makes it sound like all the hard work she's done can just disappear like that. Also aging towards 30 doesn't mean a woman has to marry but if she does marry, my heartiest congratulations, I'll be the happiest for her but there's just no need to make unnecessary speculations of her personal decisions. That's a respect & personal space everyone should spare the idols. Probing into their minds isn't something they want from us. I don't mean to offend you, just saying, you may find it okay to call out people for finding her replacement, but we definitely aren't.
