I agree. I'm just wholeheartedly hoping for one thing right now. Getting DZY, just as in the novel. Nothing else. Judging from the leaks, they remind me of scenes from the novel, so I believe they'll stay true to the novel. Just let THIS one be an exception, at the very least, if not all!!

Yeah. It was published in China Daily newspaper. It topped the viewing charts while airing and it has been nominated as one of the best series in Seoul International awards in South Korea. It has also broken the record of overseas sales of a chinese series. It is an international hit.

I also want her in Ball Lightning. Its such an exceptional one, reading from the synopsis, her role is that grey heroine everyone wants her to be.

Actually, I didn't believe when some said only one part was filmed exactly because of this reason. Aji's costume made it certain that they filmed the whole thing.

The drama was cut into two parts to abide by the restrictions of episode count to begin with anyways. And I also heard from people who gets info from chinese sites and melons. Also, the leaks had scenes from later part of the book, so yeah, there's no reason they'll leave it halfway. 3months are enough to film the whole piece.

The Blue Whisper whole drama was filmed together including both parts. So she just has Legend of Anle going on.

Also, I've seen a few leaks which are scenes from volume two, so I am 100% sure that the whole book will be adapted to drama. You're welcome ^^

Halfway through volume 1 as far as I remember. The drama is supposed to include the whole book or it won't be conclusive, so I'm sure it will. Other love teams in the novel :
1. Wen Shuo x Yuan Qin
2. Princess Anning x Shi Yuyan
3. Yuan Shu x Geely ( MTLed so I don't know the authentic name xD Han Ye's bodyguard )

He also did Ancient Love Poetry and A Girl Like Me with strong fls, so I'm trying to stay positive. But Ren Anle aka Di Zi Yuan is on a whole different level than any strong female character, so I want her with all her glory and charisma in the drama T_T

It depends on individual expectations. Some changes might feel better while some might not. The drama adaptation kept costumes and events very analogous to the manhua (but the best arc of Changge and Ashina Sun's adventure to find their identity is not here, which might be a disappointment but it has to do with chinese censorship) added a few new characters and made scopes to enhance in the romance area. The action choreography is fantastic. The chemistry of the leads is wholesome. If you are expecting an exact adaptation of the manhua, as they do in anime adaptations, that won't do. But the drama, as a whole, as an individual piece is a gem.

Emperor was the one to order DZY to be imprisoned in that temple when he killed off her family. And no fake DZY who will be named, Di Cheng En is too foolish and weak to be any obstacle for Anle's plan, don't worry. She'll just be an annoying insect, that's all. Also, the romance is a slow burn and one of the best love stories I've encountered so far. Later, you'll be astounded to see what Han Ye and DZY do and go through for each other. The first 7chaps are just the intro, ofc you won't see the romance vibes.

The one confined in the mountain temple is a fake one who was substituted for the real Di Zi Yuan. The real DZY , that is Anle was tremendously sick at that time, so Luo Mingxi brought her to a master to get treated and came across a beggar in the street who'd do anything to be saved so he gave that beggar the identity of DZY and substituted her. She becomes the most annoying and ungrateful character later -_-
