I'm wondering now if Jun-ho is a Catholic lad because of the bracelet. It reminds of the one Jeong-won wore in Hospital Playlist. If so, then it confirms a lot of things I've been thinking about the romance being a divine calling for Jun-ho.
I dunno, ML is such a perfect fit for FL, so knowledgable and understanding of all her quirks, it feels he's out…
Is it superficial writing though? I think the writer has given the character of Jun-ho a lot of thought especially given the limitations of the format. To me what the show does is actually far more realistic because it takes much more time for people to get accustomed to a non-neural typical individual in their lives much less fall in love with one. I don't see how I could personally buy into a romance between a far more typical male lead and a female lead with autism. Certainly not within the space of 16 episodes.
Also as a character Jun-ho is much more in line with the messaging of the drama itself about inclusiveness in all its respects. I don't think Jun-ho is inhumanly good though. I think he does struggle to manage his expectations. That was definitely evident in Episode 10. That's why I use the word "unique". But he's an astute man with lovely manners.

The Good Doctor of course. And Undercover are two I can think of at the top of my head. Oops... I tell a lie. Maybe I haven't watched every single K drama with autism.
Jun-ho : office worker with simple life super loving at first sight and pure hearted guy> CEO son whos cold sometimes…
The grumpy CEO male lead is a well worn stereotype and there's a long record of this kind of character in dramas. So if anyone finds Jun-ho bland, there are plenty of C, K and T dramas that are on offer that have deeply flawed male leads. But for me, I find Jun-ho a breath of fresh air because he knows how to ask questions and negotiate. He works at the relationship like an adult and not like a socially inept teenage bboy.

I think they do exist but I agree that they are rare. Often it takes a lifetime for a man to be this well-trained. :D However, we know that he has volunteered at a non-profit for people with disability so he has already got a set of skills that many people don't have. As for struggling with his feelings -- I think we've seen that to some degree in previous episodes. No doubt the show will explore some of the obstacles that they will face as a couple.
Perhaps it may be necessary for some that Jun-ho has a backstory but I personally don't need it because it adds to the unique charm of the story. I don't need every single drama that I watch to have a flawed male lead or a male lead that needs time to understand the female lead. I like variety and consistency.
To be honest the thing that dampens my enjoyment of the show is the birth secret and mother's machinations. That's the part that pulls me out of the show. It's annoying to me that every K drama feels the need to include makjang elements even when it's not needed. This is the part of the drama I find most inconsistent with the rest of it. Also, if there's no mother to contend with, I suspect we'll have more Jun-ho as well.
Jun-ho, I think is fairly unique in terms of drama male leads because he already comes almost fully equipped to be the male lead to Young-woo's female lead. The process of accommodation that these two exemplify is very pleasing to watch. There are certainly lessons for everyone in any kind of relationship.
It's certainly one of the best drama romances that I've ever seen because it largely stays clear of rom com cliches and does its own thing in its own time. So it should considering the subject matter.
"One of the greatest lies (and I choose my words deliberately) ever propagated in my lifetime is that everyone…
I don't think it's just the cocooning that's caused the Peter Pan phenomenon but also that despite living in seemingly peaceful times, rates of depression and suicide are at an all time high. The art of suffering has been lost in all of this.
Not my point at all.
