I noticed that the emperor's appetite improved when Consort Yue went on her tirade. I feel like I've underestimated him somewhat. There is a ruthless side to him after all.

Don't think so. Never mentioned in relationship to him. Xiao could just be his title. He's not really a prince but a successor to his father's seat.

Regardless of whether he liked her from the beginning (and I agree that he did), he behaves like a first class idiot around her. Everything he says is calculated to get a rise out of her. He certainly gets her attention but not her affection. For a smart guy his strategy is counterproductive. He's doing this because he knows his opponent is a formidable one and he thinks that by embarrassing her he might scare her off.

It's obvious he knows nothing about wooing women because he hasn't had good models. His parents are hopeless and his mentor isn't much better either.

I get it. I'm a mother to two very different children who drove us up the wall in different ways and in different times. One is an adult now although we still have issues with her. I also know and work with people who have autistic kids who are far more difficult than Young-woo ever was.

Gwang-ho did a really good job raising her by himself and he sacrificed his own career to do it so yeah, I would never make light of what he did for her. But my comment was really about adult Young-woo idiosyncratic ways -- the whale talk and the way she introduces herself to people -- he's always worried that she'll scare people.

Jun-ho is a very special human being and as I've said repeatedly it is as if he was providentially sent just so that he could love Young-woo as she is and take over from Dad one day.

I think he's better than her father. :D He's far more patient.

Okay... so when Jun-ho said that he liked her so much that he was feeling heart sick over it, it really wasn't hyperbole.

I am quite torn about the verdict and the ramifications of the ruling for people with disabilities and their families. I'm sure it's deliberate on the part of the writer to end it the way they did. It's a veritable minefield. It just goes to show how inadequate the law is to deal with the complexities of human relationships and intent.

It's great to see Niaoniao finally put it all together for herself. A long time in coming but worth the wait to see that bright smile on her face and that sense of certainty.
