You know it's frustrating when u end up dropping it in the middle of the last episode... everything was there…
Yep, writers must have a “3 Trope” and “5 Cringe” minimum in their contracts. And I noticed some dramas intentionally making the FL look unattractive, I don’t get it.
I was slow at the beginning, theML’s Marlon Brando-like voice and the FL’s wardrobe and hairstyle where distracting, better in the middle and the inevitable 3rd act trope dragged it down again, to bad this could have been a gem.
Do you think Woo Jin will eventually start working with EJ and SJ to take it all down?
I for just rewatch older content from 2013 to 2020 plus I sift through the newer content looking for gems. KDramas seem to be trending towards a more modern style, hopefully some creators will keep giving us gems like “Perfect Marriage Revenge”
I my layman’s opinion, it’s better to keep the leads likeable and separate but orbiting each other till the midpoint, and after bringing them together keep one lead steadfast after the inevitable breakup. Or just have them work together well on the revenge and bring them together with enough episodes to highlight the relationship before the drama ends. But what do I know, I’m not a writer, I just play one on MDL.
her dating jerk first then late she will shift to ML,just made there relationship not so beautiful anymore, after…
You are right, the modernization of KDrama is a loss, because a lot off us viewers came for the old fashioned conservative story telling abandoned by Hollywood.
How will the writer redeem the FL’s stupidity and messiah complex. The writer has made the FL very unlikeable from get go. She is stubborn, selfish and uncooperative.
The premise of the ML protecting the SFL even risking jail time only makes the ML weak, idiotic, weak, pathetic and unappealing. If the audience doesn’t like the ML it brings down the quality of the story. This kind of writing is just stupid and lazy, and actors that take this kind of roles risk damaging their careers.
