i think Ben Wang always seems to start dramas slow, at the start always acts cold and indifferent, so if the FL doesn't carry the show in the 1st half you might lose interest.
In a vertical drama you need to build chemistry early because the episodes a 2 mins long and 120 episodes max give or take. His style probably plays better in long form.
Not a bad watch, it focuses more on the lead’s relationship, which is a good thing.
The unnecessary hidden identity trope was a minus for me, even though it was paid off at the end, they shouldn’t have tried to use it as negative tension during the show.

Some tactics I use are, do an image search on Edge Browser, Translate to Chinese and then search with Native language. Edge auto translates easier than chrome or safari.

Just read it, I’m not surprised, I against censorship, but the evil characters start becoming irritating and tedious after you’ve watched over 50 of these dramas. Also it does start to live a negative impression subconsciously i.e. the KDrama “Ajumas”.
Also don’t get me started on the snake like swaying by the female antagonists, and the weird 2 hand wrist grab, and there dialogue is recycled through dramas.
I know its done for effect but I don’t advocate for getting rid of it, just dial it back a tad bit and add variety off mannerisms and dialogue.
I guess I'm one of the few that find deliberate lack off communication a boring plot device in a "Romance Drama", If a man is to cowardly to court the woman its all on him and it's boring to watch.
The 1st half was really tedious to watch, the cowardly ML kept waiting for the young inexperienced lady to make the first move. Both men and women are afraid of rejection. The irritating ML didn’t declare their relationship publicly but got angry when other men made moves on FL.
I watch short web dramas for romance, this kind of story is better suited for regular full length drama.

This wasn’t as good as Yu Long/Wang Miemie version with their incredible chemistry.
