In the book she understands but immediately realizes the vast differences that lay between them so she forgives…
Slightly, however after that she finds out her dad may be involved in why his dad died. So that makes him go, let’s just be ‘peers’ and forget everything else. But he can’t stay away from her. He becomes miserable and they eventually reconcile. And fully commit
I watched this a while ago, but I was just thinking about it today because it came up in recommendations. This is such a good storyline and if they had done a season two or at least another 10 to 20 episodes extra, I would’ve enjoyed it. I feel like our main couple didn’t get enough like time together as a couple. We didn’t get to dive deep into their romance. However, the concept, plot, storyline of this drama is top-tier. This drama is also what made me realize that the main actress is a really good actress. Before this drama, I was on the fence about her. After this drama, it made me go watch stuff that I had dropped because I thought she was a bad actress when in reality it was just a bad like drama in general or storyline.
Technically, yes, but that would be for the first Timeline, but in the timeline where she is trying to redeem herself, there is no love triangle Or at least major one. Because she technically is with a man that someone else likes, and that man likes that other girl too, but because in this timeline, she doesn’t like him, and it’s always assisting him and not preventing him and the girl he likes from being together in terms of time spent together it’s not really a triangle. However, we have another character the main lead who likes her and she’s not married to him, but she’s also unaware of this the whole time. it’s complicated you have to watch it. In terms of who’s physically together and not together, yes there’s a triangle. In terms of emotionally and mentally not really. I feel like my explanation is confusing sorry.
I'd be on the side that say, don't change their relationship from the book.Qian Qian deserves better with how…
Also, since they would be changing his character fundamentally to give him some sort of redemption arc, he wouldn’t be as bad as he is in the book. Technically, therefore. he’s bad enough, but also good enough to get a happy ending. lol praying for #dramalogic

Can you tell me how it finishes in the book then? I got to the part where they’re in the capital and The marquis Officially arrives. Back then I was waiting for the translator to finish and then I just forgot about it. I never picked it back up. Up onto that point he’s a horrible person (Qi Min) But I don’t know what ending he got or basically how all the plot storylines concluded.
True, now I am starting to hope that here in the drama - Qi min s brother is the one who is father of the child…
In the book he has some sort of body double (when he’s captured as a rebel, he commits suicide and forces the mother of the person he was impersonating to also commit suicide). So let’s hope it’s him that hurt her in the past lol.
But he does know about Qi Min- since he bought all the supplies / food
He knows and recognizes the name because they talked about him being a Rice merchant. He doesn’t know him as the missing deceased son of the former crown Prince. At least not yet.
It’s always so interesting to see how screenwriter interpret novels. The character Qi Min in particular, I never saw this angle coming. But it makes sense sort of.
I'm so glad that this drama is getting such positive response and i hope xi wei finally gets her big breakthrough…
Big break? So you’re telling me she’s not a popular actress? I honestly, did not know this. She’s one of the main reasons I bookmark this show before it aired. Her in combination with the Main lead, I knew it was gonna be amazing. I never knew she wasn’t “popular” I guess
In the book, he goes for it every time lol especially once he can determine she has feelings for him.
He kisses her once before she discovers his identity and then everything else happens after she discovers his identity and also she has an identity reveal as well. It’s a lot of layers
The scene with Gongsun Yin we saw in the drama is from the side story chapters. Looks like it's the same setting…
Thanks! I started it before it was completely translated and now that it’s airing, I figured I’d just watch the drama instead. How did you like it? I believe I got all the way to when they entered the capital.
My only real critique is that I’m concerned with the way the male lead is portrayed. I don’t hate it cause…
This makes sense I can see that. Because in story of Kunning Palace There were negative comments about his morally, gray character, but I actually really liked it. Hopefully, he channels some of that here
