It is a great webtoon. I don't love spoilers so I promised myself I would read the first few chapters and then stop ....haha this plan did not work. It pulled me in and I read the whole thing. The romance/love betwen Jeongwha (madame song) and Jinren is beautiful (and tragic).

Oh there is epic romance in the webtoon (not Iho, but Jinren - Seonho is playing both roles). Plus HJR has changed and expanded parts (Iho is a freedom fighter for eg who has a girl who loves him outside of the hotel, and we get to see his decent into madness through her eyes)

Exactly, Seonho is a seasoned theatre actor and has way of completely transforming for every role he plays, can't wait to see how he crafts Iho and Jinren!

Best part of the show - he is an incredible actor, he will nail both roles.

But Jinren and her are madly in love, for years.

Great choices - all seasoned theatre actors, it's going to be a treat especially considering the director and writer.

I really liked it too. Ya the second lead's characters was very childish and red flag and had no idea what Muhee was actually going through. Plus muhee never liked him so there was zero actual romance.

I actually agree with your critique of the writing but I think the leads did well and their chemistry is off the charts, the cinematography and overall artist vision was gorgeous and I liked the overall theme. I agree with the other comment to just continue watching. Still worth it despite some of the plot holes.

Just watched the first episode and I love it already. The concept is so warm and peaceful and the cast and the elder villagers growing relationships are heartwarming. Kim Seonho back in variety shows is the best.

Wow so Can This Love be TRanslated just entered the Netflix global top ten (for non-english) AGAIN this week after being out of it for the past 2 weeks. Happy for all the cast and crew, this drama has staying power.

Stick with it. Totally worth it. And he was interested in her from the first episode - he is just introverted and subtle. The way the Hojin character handles her struggles with trauma is really creative and very supportive. Huge green flag character (ofc, written by women so they understand).
