SML character is homophobic but it doesn't mean the whole drama is homophobic and it doesn't mean the show supports homophobia. You can clearly see the writer is simply trying to portray that people are very homophobic in society. And also trying to portray what gay people have to experience on a daily bases of people being horrible towards them. Even Gwan Nam (FL's friend ) said when reading the article of the SML he said that there is nothing wrong with being gay. The writer deliberately placed that line there to highlight that.

This show is more of a rom com/rom drama compared to those other dramas so I don't think they will give this drama an ending that is dramatically sad or open.

I am really despising the SML. He is so selfish. Episode 4 really defined the dramatic difference between the ML and SML. The ML is kind and considerate and has never tried to use FL for his own benefit. Even with the house dinner, he didn't want to tell her about it in order to not pressure her. Even when he asked if there is a possibility for a favor when she expressed she didn't want to do favours for her clients anymore, he immediately left it and didn't pressure her. That's why she sees the ML and ML house as a comfort zone. Because she can go there and rest and he won't try to use her in any way. Where as the SML just rolls up and takes her throws her in front of paparazzi to use her for his own benefit. Without any asking or even telling about the situation. He just uses her. I don't like how he thinks he is just entitled to her like that. I don't want the Fl to fall for the SML even slightly I just think how can someone fall someone with such a jerk personality. I just want the FL to be with ML because he is better for her.

Personally I don't see ML just as a classic stone face character. I see him more as a quiet, reserved and very socially awkward. The 2nd lead is falling more in line with with the clueless popular rich guy, character type personally for me.

Well personally for me I do watch romantic kdramas to get something new haha. Western romance dramas are heavily cliched. So romance kdramas do something different for me. And in general I seek something new anytime I watch any drama.

The funny thing is before I watched the drama I wanted her to be with the 2nd lead but when I watched the episodes I was surprised that I was now shipping the ML with the FL. I expected ML to be just very cliche cold but the social awkwardness he has and the quietness was something different and endearing to me. The 2nd ML is not bad to me, if the FL ends up with 2nd lead I wouldn't despise that. However, I think the storyline of him admiring her from long ago from one event and him being popular actor felt very done before. So I think for me the backing story of the ML and his relationship build up with FL such as them being contractual married for 5 years and eating dinners together in silence and him being social awkward but still trying his best seemed like there was more of an emotional build up in their relationship. Because even if they didn't talk much to one another their was dependency and comfort built up over the years in their relationship. And I think that feels more endearing and complex to me than the 2nd lead connection with the FL. And yes the writer is trying hard to make it seem like the ML is a killer but it is highly likely that he is not a killer.
