Ikr. I'm quite worried about editing as well, esp since it's from iQiyi.
"Even with top-class source material, some screen-writers still manage to bungle the whole thing by inserting lousy stereotypes, dumbing down all the female characters, adding love triangles and incoherent character changes. Some if these geniuses should be prohibited from ever touching an original novel again."
While I loved the conclusion and how everything wrapped up nicely, the one critique I have is how they portray…
I notice this very black-and-white, OTT approach to addicts in K-dramas and it's very telling of the mentality towards them over there, like with actors being addicted to Propofol.
i love romance and will rarely watch shows without it, but i really can’t enjoy the romance with the age gap.…
😕I was simply replying to @prisha's points about the age gap and the chemistry not being there (there's other users stating the same thing, btw). I don't think it would've been distracting to the main theme as it could've been a slow-burn. You're trying to convince the naysayers by coming across as bulldozing their viewpoints.
And I didn't like how that supporting character was written and never stated that life is always miserable anywhere in my post to prisha.
Very true and well said!👏

I have seen great chemistry with older woman, younger man couples but this wasn't it.
And I do notice that a lot of dramas have a toxic view of relationships! 😟
They're trolling the audience at this point.
Starry Love ... is that a fantasy drama?
All that time spent building it up ... for that?! Biggest disappointment of the year that's only two months in.
