After watching Maid's revenge, Provoke and Circle of love(especially🔥)my expectations got really high. But…
I see what you mean! It looks ... anticlimatic when they kiss. Something key is missing. Comparing it to the rawness in spark in Circle of Love and Maid's Revenge, it can't compare.
cdrama with the same structure with this drama is Circle Of Love and all i wanna say after watching those two…
True but I suppose if something has enough eye candy, flaws become less bothersome for some people? That could explain its appeal as a 'guilty pleasure'. I myself didn't rate it high as the writing is bad. There's original and fan fiction online written better than this, easily.
I just got into Chinese dramas so I don’t mind it so much yet. 😆
Thanks so much and glad you agree! It's like endless deja vu with these same old plots. There is too many copies around, but at least these short ones get to their destination sooner as you stated. I don't tend to finish the longer ones as much anymore especially once the writing goes downhill. Life is too short!
Zhang Ke turned out to be a 🐍 🐍 … It was already weird when he did that grand confession when they didn’t…
Exactly! He doesn't respect boundaries at all! I would've re-written him and I didn't like how twisted and obsessed they wrote him to be and it came across cartoony. He was very one-note after about episode 17/18 or so and they didn't need another villain when the debt squad were enough.
There was no kiss! Just hugs, hand holding and foreheads touching😂NONE of the main couples kissed, actually…
The most risqué it got was RJ taking about bedroom things he wanted to do with BY! This was pretty tame for a web series. This is why I prefer the shorter length dramas nowadays, as they at least tend to have steamy kisses and take a shorter time to get there! 😂

Very true! And C-dramas are not short of immature women.
I think she thought she would try to taint his perfect image of YY to convince him to choose her instead but all it did was strengthen his desire to chase his crush by destroying YY's relationship (granted, it was toxic) and career, so he could exploit his way into her good graces by 'comforting' her at her lowest and emotionally venerable. Seriously, what a scumbag! He deserved more than a slap. He's not looking for a girlfriend but someone who he can control and live out his fantasy with. Little does that former barista woman know that she's his newest target and consolation prize since he couldn't get YY. He's seen that she won't stand up for herself, doesn't hold him accountable to let him back in too easily, so he can be as creepy and throw as many tantrums around her as he likes. He likes the power he can have around her without any threat to his ego.

He's pretty much what some MLs come across as when they're not romanticised. Shame they tried to redeem him with a coffee near the end by having him reconcile with the girl who had a crush on him🤦♀️. I bet he's manipulating her but she's oblivious because she's attracted to him ...
Apparently she gained weight for another role she played.
That or she fluctuates, like some do.
The actor playing Zhao Mo also has gained weight.

I said to myself: 'his side profile looks like Leo Luo.'

NONE of the main couples kissed, actually IIRC ... odd.
When you watch more and notice it being ubiquitous, it'll start to become like grating deja vu.
Hope this C-drama doesn't follow suit!
Do you understand Mandarin, btw?
