Indeed there's an audience for 'morally ambiguous' but the morality of this doesn't seem all that ambiguous, just a vicious cycle of actions into perpetuity. Sisyphus: the J-Drama! 🤷‍♀️

I wonder why adultery J-dramas love to keep their characters in dysfunctional relationships somehow, like a prison sentence?
And the overriding message is: this unhealthy need to return to familiarity is better than being single?!
An utter waste of time, like two more I can think of.
Something is mentally and morally not right with writers who produce this.

Ah! I meant their drama version of a real life scenario, as has successfully been done by the series Chernobyl.

I recall seeing tongue in My Sassy Princess, during the consummation scene (had to slow it down to catch it 😂)

Sounds like to their dramatisation answer to the Chernobyl series, tbh.

Much like other director creeps out there, they show the audience what they are but it gets dismissed as 'just a movie'.
I hope this causes more viewers to question what themes they're seeing promoted and in what tone its done in.

Wasn't expecting that and that side of the drama isn't my cup of tea.
