He never listened to Anxin, even if he's angry and thinks that he isn't his daughter, he should've at least considered her for the sake of being decent person, cause after all he adopted her. Since she's the one who don't like him, she should be the one to take the initiative to break their engagement when she's too brave to sleep with her fiance's younger brother while her fiance is mourning. Instead of trying to comfort him as a decent person, she comfort another guy under the tree lol those dogs surely perfect for each other. Well I can't fully blame her, after all she's young and immature. She's very sheltered and just got the chance to go out of flower real, and she isn't use to socialize with males. The ML is the one who took advantage of her innocence.
And other hand Xu Feng is the 2nd asshole after his dad. Not only he actively tried to steal Jin Mi, he also don't respect boundaries and his brother that he claims that he loves. He's really the son of two nasty people. 🤮 Him and the moon deity took advantage of Jin Mi during her trial. I really liked him at first but after Run Yu's mom death, I see he's really just a pampered spoiled brat, who doesn't care about anything else except his own interest. Stupid asshole thinks giving up his future to Run Yu will make up for his mom's unforgivable sins to Run Yu and the countless people who got implicated because of that greedy empress. It's like trying to pay the victim family just so they would shut up and forget everything. 🤮 So cute how audacious he is to go to him and fake comforting him only to ask him to forgive his mom in exchange for throne.
Just stayed on watching to see how Run Yu will be a villain. He's much more interesting than the two asshole leads.

I love how Zhao Lusi went from being her typical FL roles before to petty & vengeful with deep mother issues Cheng Shaoshang to Duan Wu who I think is much more complex than Cheng Shaoshang 😭💗🙌 She really proved a lot that she's not just for romcom!!!

I've seen her shows, she's far better than the FL here. Zhao LuSi can do both heavy, light hearted, and romcom dramas. She wouldn't be popular for no reason. There's a lot of good looking actress out there but looks were nothing if you can't the way the people want to see and can't make acting look natural.

It gets boring and I read spoilers instead cause I have no more patience, I still feel bad for the 1st wife. It's given she's very domineering, but he isn't innocent either. He allowed her to do all kinds of abuse in his own house when he can also be domineering if he wanted to, and he didn't bother to treat her decently either. He just let the sisters be framed up by his concubine and only felt bad for the sister not for the one who really died because of it??? He basically forced the 1st wife to her death. Not cool...
Also their characters reminded me of their old breakout series lol 🤣🙌💗 DYX and PXR are such good actors, I've seen their other shows and sadly this is only one I couldn't continue to watch. I hope to see them again in 1 drama but with better script and production.
