I think I asked this before and maybe it was answered but still confused.... at the end of One and Only Shiyi's 3rd brother changed his name to ZhouShan....is this modern drama family his family? The 3rd brother remarried (he was in love with the big seejiewho died )and the modern day ZSC is not only reincarnation but also related by blood somehow? Somehow the ancicent ZSC was in the family lineage and I couldn't figure out how still....
At the end of One and only they only showed the student in the wheelchair...and said all generals were gone -- I assumed dead due to old age etc...and he was left....so I didn't know if the modern day ZSC was related to this guy? But I don't recall him changing his name to ZhouShan..
I really wished the modern drama was able to make it more clear....I thought the romance was cute but thought too much concentration that they didn't explain the family lineage....explain his background...explain his parents etc...
Really wished they could relate both drams more...than just saying she is a voice actress for the drama...

1. ZSC's mother was not accepted in the family. The father and mother actually eloped. It wasn't until the mother died the father came back.
2. Clueless why she was forced to marry ZSC's father when she didnt love him and loved the uncle...but I think its one of those same concept sacrifice self for family power and name....similar to ancient drama.
3. They never explained or showed his biological parents.
4. She was in coma maybe 2 months? And then time passed by again -- I assume a few months when she then convinced him to have kids. Then they had decided to have kids...then wedding ceremony came afterwards...

Yeah I agree...spend whole life saving country and then killed too easily tortuously....he could have left with the young king child...why did he stay...fight it off and if he died during fight then more meaningful then to give up ind be tourtured to death...save his life retreat and then clear his name..if not for his sake..for his students and soldiers..
maybe he was tired being nanchanwan...just I understand why drama needed the boning...since writer wrote it in...whole epitomol of the story besides romance...

He looked handsome...but somehow I feel they put too much makeup on him...the lips ...even in the fan meet and variety show "hai pai" too much makeup especially lips....I liked his manly look in under power although he was "chubbier"
What do you mean? .. the acting was brilliant from both leads as well as the secondary…parts of the storyline drove me nuts the the loyal stupidity of male lead …and how and why the ml dies….but in general a beautiful sad story….just cried tears out….some people compared to good by priin ess… I don’t think can be comparable at all

Yeah...so annoyed at his stupid loyalty for no reason. I would prefer him being poisoned then die in battle...then for the sake of the "beautiful bones" due to author theme...mutilated afterwards...but to do it while he alive...yeah how endure such pain what go in his mind?

Although I love "Under the Power," I hope it's different. I'm about to start the series.
I loved under the power...Allen was great in that series because he had many facets...a cold general...a loving son who missed his mom...when he fell in love...a sweet boyfriend...and I loved the most...an 8 year old boy...haha
But this series is a good contrast for his acting...he is totally different...story is totally different...Allen uses his xray eyes for his emotions...microexpression...

Just finished series...overall I enjoyed it however I must say it lacked the same overall storyline that One and Only had...OnO had an overalls tory for most characters whereas in this drama they concentrated on the romance and did not seem to executed a well written plot...
Likes: 1. No qualms...both Allen and Bailu were excellent... 2. Her outfits were beautiful 3. Love how as time past they started having matching outfits starting chapter 15/16... 4. I was fine with they shyness (yes I understand ZSC was less bold than in the book and those hoping for sizzling fire like intimacy were dissapointed) -- and definitely don't blame Allen 5. Loved the support and love growing together 6. Although I wished they could say reincarnation I was fine with how they tried to go around it ...
Dislikes: 1. Whereas one and only I felt his "beautiful bones"...here I did not...the drama did not emphasize it well. There was just one meeting with elders where they rejected him..one discussion he had with shiyi and another time with little cousin Ren his ambitions...and that was it...nothing more..there was no real action 2. Conflict between the brothers...one scene his brother made him wait for few hours...one scene in Bremen...and thats practically it...never really showed how his brother was behind back doing bad things 3. So his brother signed papers to turn himself in..then he sees a knife and then goes crazy trying to kill ZSC? 4. Hence..not much conflict...besides the fact that his stepmom was harsh on him and brother didnt like him...I didn't see much that need that justify the sister need to push Shiyi to water and poison her to hope that ZSC leave family....just there wasn't much of a good story...unlike ONO I can see how the kings overturned...prince taking over thrown.. etc etc 5. Didn't explain the lineage...why ancient ZSC was in the family books? and I thought end of ONO his good name was given back to ZSC...even if history was written by the winners...he shouldn't still be known as a traitor having an affair with wife...if old ZSC was a traitor why did his family give modern day ZSC that name?
Overall I think this drama tried to concentrate solely on the romance...but I think they could have given more "meat" to the storyline...it was a slow moving drama...not everyone's cup of tea...but I did enjoy the actors and actresses....loved the details of clothing to match..love the lovey dovey. scenes..
Have anyone noticed though...that Bailu loves to "tusk tsk alot" in her acting...meaning she would say "Tsk" at end of line when like the scene she saw his closet in Bremen full of same boring colored clothing...
