Uk still does not know if Yul wants the best For Mudeok, in the last episode Uk remembered when Yul said that all the soul shiffters should be eliminated cause they are monsters, so he cant entrust Mudeok to him, but i agree with you about the CP, at the moment he is not someone important to Uk

he is nice when the things are going smothly for him, but he shows his true colours when he cant get what he wants, for example, when he challenge Uk for both of the swords, knowing that he was a newborn mage, now with Mudeok and the jade, capable king ? i dont thjnk so, he is not evil, but is pety, he is not king material

i dont think so, but AOS likes to throw savages plot twists, well see, there is a little chance that youre right, because even if Uk did catch the golden fish, Yul has way more training than Uk, so there are three possibilties for Uk to keep Mudeok:

1_ Yul lose on purpose
2_someone stop them before one of them lose
3_ Uk wins (very unlikely)

Uk could win, with the plot armour, thats the only way or taking Yul off guard
