I can't with this A Shui hate its so funny now, my gosh, girl only appears for 2mins and this is the biggest takeaway from all the other things that happened in the episode.

Looking at your watched looks like you like BL. Is that what you were expecting here? This drama is not BL. It does have friendships with both genders.

LY now needs to be done, he knows the truth can we keep it moving. Ngl tired of seeing him and his minions. They have killed so many innocent people and the fights are becoming repetitive.

I get it but you seem to have a view that an independent woman looks one way and not support the other ways it can look.
Her life before TLC was her father, then she was a lost soul after that and I think she has chosen TLC and CY as her family now, she not only shows care for TLC but also CY.
I still believe they haven't shown us to much about her as it it may give the plot away. Her motivations and her past and connections to TLC is deliberately being withheld for now.
There is definitely more to her as we see with the subtle hints they give us.
She is his equal as a character and love interest she understands him the most out of the others. In a way he is not her equal as he can't figure her out.
She has not said she loved him or even thinks of herself as a love interest or anything like that anyway, she wasn't expecting him to even rescue her.
I think they are taking their sweet time but as soon as we know who she really is is it will probably all come together.

In the context of this drama not feminism its entirety, she has equal rights to choose what she wants to do. And she chose. Other female characters in this drama represent other choices.

AS has development from not talking much to being more involved. She even has the capacity to tell CY what to do. When they were still on the boat she was the one who told him to get the evidence. XFT doesn’t have character development, she is a fighter, she exists to kill TLC. You seem to associate being a physical fighter with independence . Her dad died she had no where to go, the marriage idea didn’t work out and was really a lost soul, she made her own decision to help TLC.
It’s necessary to realize females come in different forms and there are plenty of other female characters in this drama, not all them have to be fiercely independent fighters. Representation for all is also important.

ML is like us, also suspicious but at the same time she hasn’t done anything wrong. So it’s a mystery for now.
Also when they were at the snow palace, the “blind” leader there said he could read people and he said she was pure. I have given up trying to guess 😂

Agency means choosing what she wants to do, whether u agree with it or not, its her choice to stay. We know she was getting married to be able to bury her father. Marriage was canceled so she had no other things going on. She used to travel with her father so she decided to travel with TLC. When she left TLC she was welcomed in by the other sect, she has no where to go.
There has been development, they have been dropping subtle hints and they are intentionally keeping it mysterious for now. We still don’t know how her blood heals and how she is actually able to know what TLC is thinking , we don’t know how she was able to smell the scent of XFT entering the room no one else did, how she can memorize things, why did she feel the little boy was like TLC .
The story is centered around TLC. Would you also have the same critique of XFT the character is revolves around killing TLC?

I think knowing more about her early on will probably give the plot away, if we know her background and motives now. They have intentionally written like this, for a shocker when it's revealed. She does have agency, she chose to be there for him, she could have left that's her choice, and we r seeing her coming more out of her shell, TLC comments after the freezing incident that she is becoming more vocal.

There are 3 females, but so far we do see A Shui( Jelly Lin) the most out of the three. Just telling you for transparency and managing expectations of seeing the others.

It’s getting ridiculous, she is not going anywhere but be there for him, they should watch a proper BL then. This drama was never marketed as BL.

Why can’t they have bromance with her there? Isn’t bromance male friendship? Why can’t these males also have females as friends?

Point remains she knows she is not his goal. I hope people watch too. bromance or romance or none and not be mean about a girl who hasn’t done anything wrong, that we know of with the information we have been given as of now.

I don’t even think romance is being shown here, it’s so below slight that normal romance watchers are not interested in this. It seems that bromance shippers are more the ones disliking this because he might like a girl. I think it’s ok to ship ML whoever you want to, but no need to put the girl down just because you would prefer him with someone else. There actually isn’t a push for romance here. She knows where she stands that his biggest goal is LY and he has a soft for her but it’s not overt. It’s not distracting from the story. Her scenes mostly help us know what he is thinking.
I do think people have their own expectations so maybe the synopsis needs to be clearer.
