I see a lot of people disappointed about the way the show is going and how it seems Mei Lin is not the same assassin…
I am really happy with the Mei Lin we got. I would have been annoyed with her if she spent most of the episodes trying to kill the wrong person. Also she has constantly used her skills, they wouldn’t have survived the snow without her vigilantly looking out for danger only sleeping when they were safe.
I bet Luo Mei succeeds in dodging marriage consummation.
She was smiling a lot during the ceremony. I hope she dodges it for my sake 🤣. But girl seems willing. As a general she didn’t even try to resist during that incense scene and told him I was going to pick you. Hopefully she will surprise me.
MJH gets so jealous lol… Telling Mei Lin to not listen to YQ or owe him anything, he will payback. He is so 🥰. I can see his heart truly breaking in the future if they can’t find a cure.

Not me getting a girl crush on Mei Lin. She is a protector and so caring. Not only does she make sure she physically protects MJH she also emotionally aware of his needs. Like or he used his sleeping meds, I will need to make sure he still sleeps without knocking him out lol…she is the one who sets out to get the herbs, he can rest comfortably as a hostage. I also like how she has shown MJH that yes revenge for the army he lost is important but so are all the innocent lives that have been lost and those that are still not lost yet during this battle with CP. MJH knows she is a good catch, doing all that needle work to make sure she is well taken care of 😍
genuine question for people who say drama MJH "isn't evil enough"— in what way would he be villainous enough…
I don’t understand why some like violence against women. There is enough of that in the real world, would like to escape all that. The week when the news of the French lady whose husband was making her unconscious and other men rape came out, that same week another female doctor in India had been gang raped while she was resting in the hospital and the Olympian was burnt by her boyfriend in Uganda . There is so much violence against, I am glad they changed this ML.

Mei Lin and her small body really protected MJH, not sleeping for days. Her dreams always pulling MJH into some act, now we know he sings too lol... MJH so true to his word already getting some honey for her. Love this couple!

She didn't misunderstand. She didn't want anyone else to be bait, so even to protect her that puts her friends at risk. She had just lost Dai. ML's heart is in the place of protecting her , her heart is to protect her friends too, just like ML is protecting those he likes. He could have been honest about it when asked. Same glad it's all sorted ;-).
I think a lot of people are missing the reason why FL is upset in episode 13. She didn't jump to the wrong conclusion and she has a right to be upset: 1. She asked ML if he had burnt those ladies in an earlier episode, he said NO 2.She told him she had burnt herself so she can be bait, as she didn't want another innocent person to die like Dai had, the girl who had made her those red cakes I need to try. 3. I suspect if ML had been honest about what he had done she would not have been this upset, FL has always been brutally honest with him and not hiding anything. 4. She actually told him how can you say you are avenging the lives taken by killing innocent people in the process 5. ML burning them was killing them, because CP wanted to kill the girls with the burnt marks on them that's why she wanted to be the bait. She didn't want more of her friends dying which is normal even if you an assassin, u do not use your friends as bait. 6. ML would not knowingly put his people in harms way without them knowing what is at stake, but his action did put FL's friends at risk without them knowing. FL lost her whole family and friends, these new bonds mean a lot to her.She is already socially awkward so can imagine if she is "close" to people she takes that seriously. 7. She knows CP was the one who "killed" them, she is upset that ML lied and that he put them in that position to be killed. That is why she is still upset even after knowing they are still alive. Collaboration needs honesty. Yue Qin obviously knows FL's values and used this opportunity to rat out ML and score points by being the one who saves the girls. He is much more strategic than I thought he would be.
