I know. I'm watching the Mandarin version also. I understand most of it (except when there are dramas/movies with poems). 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Mandarin is not my 1st language, but i went to school for it until middle school.

Sort of - some parts some people spoke in Shanghainese in some parts of the dramas. There are Shanghainese version & straight Mandarin version. I'm watching the Shanghainese's version.
