omg I agree, it's too much, especially with the red lip. I need to pay attention and see if other 'wives' also dress the same with red lips. Also, she's still young and newly married, her outfits look too heavy and over the top.

I've just caught up with episodes 17 - 21, and wow, so much has happened. But first of all, my shaylaaaa, they didn't even get 24 hours together, fsss. Also, episode 18 has so many shocking moments; my jaw was on the floor for most of it, ahaha. Episode 21 was nice to see Yunxi in protective hubby mode, but I can't wait for them to actually be together.

Another thing, all this talk about women's chastity is so annoying, obviously, this is how it was back then but men dictating things and just being hypocrites is irritating to watch, so big up Hanyan in episode 21! From episode 22 teaser it looks like she may be liberating another woman lol

Also, I just remembered this is only 30 episodes, and they spent the entirety of episode 21 on 'in my opinion' unnecessary characters and plot. Like i need time for them to slowly fall in love, what illness does he have, ML background/family, FL getting her full revenge on her dad like so manyyy things to explore, and nine espies left?? i feel sick

hahaha that was my plan too, I've dropped this for A Dream of Splender (which has been soo good) and am slowly watching love of the divine tree, what a treat lool

I'm annoyed i'm watching it in the new order on IQIYI, on episode 3 but does Mu ran wu turn against her sister? that would be soo annoying!!

The FL's acting is really good to me, the ML is a little expressionless, but the plot really saves it. Also, the ML's character is well-written, and he really grows on you. I would suggest if you like fast-paced shows with strong and smart FL
