Gosh I loved this SOOOOO much!!! I ended up marathoning it in 2 days straight! LOL - It was SO good!!!! I was never bored! As each episode passed I found myself automatically clicking on the next episode without any hesitation! This drama put a smile on my face throughout most of it and I laughed countless times! And any "angst-y" parts quickly fizzled out that it was hardly noticeable ;) A priceless drama for sure! ^_^ I watched it b/c Hwang Jeong Min was in it and I love him as an actor and I'm SO glad I watched this drama after I became a "fan" of his b/c it made me appreciate him so much more! And the actress who plays Ji Soo - all through this drama I kept saying to myself she has a nice toned body (most women in dramas are either really skinny or just not fit) but she looks like she works out - I'd love to have a nice toned body like hers *inspiration in fitness* lol - But my ultimate favorite duo in this drama was Dong Baek and Sang Chul!!!! :D I love love LOVED them!!! So many cute scenes, emotional scenes and oh so much bromance between the two :D *Makes me SO happy* :D I also really loved the OST - I enjoyed every song ^^ I loved how they had a "Yodeling" song for the funny scenes :P *I think it was my favorite fast song* and then I believe I believe by Lena Park was my favorite slow song <3 I have Lee Seung Chul's song on CD so I recognized it as soon as it started to play hehe :P I highly recommend this drama for people who love rom/com or Hwang Jeong Min or any of the other actors ^^ I do think that Baek Sung Hyun (Sang Chul) should be added as MAIN cast b/c he's a very prominent person in the drama and was in it just about as much as our leads <3
Wow, it wasn't what I was expecting but it was still really good! I'm impressed with how they delivered it - goes to show how things can affect one's ability to think, judge and act on things. I jumped once lol, was shocked at how things panned out and things that kept occurring or "reoccurring". Definitely NOT a boring movie - what can you do with a time traveling thriller mind-twist! I was holding my breath a few times and felt a weird mix of emotions in the end *not bad emotions mind you*. A great Jung Jae Young and Choi Daniel film! If you're a fan of either then this is a good watch :) and that song is going to haunt me whenever I hear it now lol
A very nice inspirational film about not giving up on your dreams ^_^ "Just b/c you're poor does that mean you can't dream?! Does that mean you can't play sports?!" - Coach Kim Won Kang - This film was a great watch if you enjoy movies based on sports. This one was filmed in another country with tons of foreign kid actors in it. There were only 4-5 Koreans in this film - and only 2 shown a lot ;) I like how those two kids finally "reconciled" in the end. The ending was good too :) The music - although not very memorable fit well with the movie. Loved Park Hee Soon's role! ^_^ *I actually went in this movie thinking that another actor was in it - but he was no where to be seen. But that didn't matter b/c I was captivated by this movie based on real events. All the actors did a great job - especially KHS*
This was the first Korean movie I ever watched - it was around the same time when I first was getting to know about Kdramas - watched it either before or after I watched my first ever Kdrama 'My Girl' - I remembered liking it but not exactly loving it either - So I re-watched it today to "refresh my memory" - and although I had remembered the Father being abusive when I first watched it - that really wasn't the case - he wasn't what I would call an "abusive" father - he was mean using his hands Once in this entire film - otherwise he was just a loser father who brought home countless women and they would either leave, or he'd sell them off for money. and he'd take all the money his son earned or got from the state and use it to gamble away at those game rooms. :/ "Loser father defined" Back when I first watched this I didn't know who Kim Hye Soo was *obviously* but I do know as I have seen her in several dramas ;) So it was better the second time around b/c I like her as an actress. I also wanted to re-watch this b/c Hwang Jeong Min is in it but I have to say I didn't really care for his character - he was just a lazy/bum/perv/next-door-neighbor who kinda "mans-up" a little in the end. As when I watched this movie the first time my favorite character is still the boy ^_^ Such a mature kid ^^ That's what I remembered liking about him back then too :) The ending was expected *I didn't remember it but I expected it when she mentioned it early on*. The ending could have been better though b/c I feel like I'm missing a little bit of what happens with the boy :/ *haha and little Niel* hehe I wouldn't have known he was in this unless I rewatched it :P
Loved this movie ^_^ *watched it with very poorly translated Eng. subs from 'subscene' but I couldn't wait any longer for good subs b/c I wanted to watch it so badly! lol* - *I will probably re-watch it later when accurate good subs come out* ;) I had fun watching this, I laughed a lot - especially when it came to Kang Dong Won's character! Every expression and antic he'd pull had me giggling lol I loved how they paired him up with Hwang Jeong Min's character - they were an excellent team! I honestly wanted to watch more when it ended lol - Awesome fun movie - it couldn't pull me away :)
Well, I was expecting more out of this movie... but I didn't hate it - I enjoyed a few people, Hwang Jeong Min & Jung Hwa the most ;) and Jung Kyung Ho (although I hated how they ended his story >_< like really?!!) I did not care for Jung Hwa's ex, or that odd couple... I liked the daddy for the little girl ^^ Definitely not going in my favorites list, but it was an alright watch if you like watching at least 5 peoples stories at a time *I'm not a huge fan of those kinds of movies*. 7 from me
Absolutely LOVED every second of this movie!!! Hwang Jeong Min and Uhm Jung Hwa were excellent in their roles and portrayal of a married couple have once again found their dreams and don't give up! I also REALLY loved how they used their actual names for this movie!!! :D Hwang Jeong Min's character and dream reminded me a lot of Jung Jae Young in 'Assembly' :D I really like that! and Jung Hwa was so good at wanting to pursue her dream of being a dancing singer ^_^ Such a feel-good romantic, dream inspired movie!!! Highly recommend it! Loved one thing the manager of HJM said: "Those "trashy" dramas usually get high ratings." XD hehehe perfect timing dude! ;) I laughed so many times while watching this too :P Very touching and worth all the time spent on it! These are the kinds of movies I adore watching Hwang Jeong Min in!!! He's just PERFECTLY SPLENDID in these kinds of films :D :D :D As is Uhm Jung Hwa ;)
I enjoyed this movie as much as I enjoyed 'A Bittersweet Life' both good gangster oriented films, both get bloody (as you'd expect in a gangster based film). As with 'A Bittersweet Life' I went into this movie b/c of Hwang Jeong Min but ended up liking our main lead the most ;) I did not like the head police guy 'Kang' he was a jerk in my eyes someone who does not deserve a title in the police field b/c from what I saw all he cared about was his own big agenda (whatever the heck that was) - which meant he'd sacrifice any and all of his "underdogs". They were just bait for him to get Intel nothing more. I supported only one character and that was Ja Sung (Lee Jung Jae). I liked the ending. Suitable for a gangster flick. HJM's character was pretty slimy and pervish in this film *yeah... didn't care for him here - acting flawless as always though. I think I just prefer seeing him in a good guy role lol*
Well, I must say that I loved it! lol, even if it's not original (I honestly don't mind if they are b/c I just plain love Action movies) <3 I never understood what people saw in LBH (as in why they all think he is so handsome - I've seen pictures of him and never thought that but after watching this, I can understand lol - He is handsome! Maybe he's an actor you have to see before you know that). Anyways, I really liked him in this (I originally went in this b/c of Hwang Jeong Min - he ended up being one of the rival mafia guys - plain evil). LBH was the one that won me over in this film - simply brilliant! I loved the short scenes we got of Jin Goo & Eric as well ^_^
This movie didn't make any sense (for me) TBH... I almost fell asleep several times... All I saw was one corrupt person after another and one killing after another, one "framing" after another - That's it. ZERO DEPTH or understanding of our characters! What make them tick? What happened in their life to make them this way? What were their stories? What really were their "morals" *I doubt they even had any*... This story had no story... It was like they said "hey, lets do this, make this happen, and then let's do this, and that's how we'll end it." Seriously! and there were SO many plot holes! Especially one that I wanted to know and they didn't tell me -_- I do not recommend this movie unless you want to watch a senseless movie where none of the characters have any morals (or should I say sense of justice, sense of right and wrong). Everything is BLACK in this. The only "good" character was Ma Dong Seok's character. *Huge sigh*
"Do your utmost even in trivial things. From that you can attain sincerity. This sincerity becomes apparent. From being manifest it becomes brilliant. Brilliant, it affects others. Affecting others they are changed by it. Changed by it they are transformed. It is only... those with complete sincerity... who can transform everything." - Gap Soo *quoting*
"It will change. If you do your utmost one by one... the world will change." - Kim Jeong Jo
Wow, loved this movie ^^ It was nice to see what happened with Sado's son - It would have been even better if I had watched this immediately after I had watched 'The Throne' but I didn't know the stories were correlated at the time I watched TT lol (even though this one came out first). I don't know, I'm really into "actual true events" *even if they are fictionalized a bit*. It makes me feel like I was their with them when it all took place & I always LOVE seeing History brought forth before my eyes ;) Hyun Bin & Jung Jae Young did amazing in their roles - they were my favorite characters! I liked them both a LOT ^_^ Everyone else was just "supporting" characters for me lol
