Somehow I have the feeling Bit Na is not the painter's daughter so perhaaaarps ? Or is it just me ? I want some romance between them too but even if it is the case and she is not related that would be awkward because they grown up like cousins

Bit Na's mother is not trustworthy so I can totally imagine her lying about the fact Bit Na is indeed related by blood to get the money... She is perhaps the daughter of the pushover guy, just a thought.

Choi Kyu Jin was already great in Mr.temporary and I like him here too

Same, I can totally see the comedy aspect from the first episode. Do Chang and Ji Hyuk are just so funny together. And Jo Hee Bong still plays a leader who is not really a leader lmao when he wanted to join his hand but finally touch his hairs, this actor really makes me laugh. In "Tunnel" too he was not respected by his team xD

I really like where this is going with the comedy and how the characters's relationships evolves ! I am sure it will get again " darker " when Oh Ji Hyuk's past will be linked to all of this and when highter up will try to "stop " them (I am afraid to see one of the detectives from Do Cahng's team dies because they are not corrupt and they try to show the truth...)

But really this drama becomes more and more interesting, I like how the story is well constructed and it is not too fast or too slow

Yes this drama is really good I really like the way they are builting up the " two " side fighting between them (the corrupt ones and the righteous ones ). To me it is actually quite well balanced between funny moments and serious ones, it is COMMON for Korean drama to use some background comedy with heavier topic I do not think the poster is so off of topic... Of course it is not the kind of humor where you will laughting like a crazy person but it makes you sometimes smiles (when Ji Hyuk explains to Do Chang he has less testosterone/ is in menopause and that why he lost his hairs for example )

Really this drama is great so far it is really well built and I do not say it often

I think the drama was not that bad but the characters are really messed up even more the one who seem " nice " and " right " at first -I hope it is not really a spoil but I did not like how that character turns out-... I guess they had a good idea to oppose two characters who try to protect their " secret " family but it lacks consistency in the end

I thought they survived ? The kid saved them no ? They were in an ambulance but perhaps I did not understood everything.

The old man thought it was his wife who killed the victim + his kids always ask him money and he even lost his home in the end so I think that is why he tried to kill himself and his wife who has dementia ...

I really like the story and how they handle the characters so far ! Not really the typiccal love-hate relationship between Hi Jeok and Do Chang I really like their dynamic vibes : they will talk when they have a problem with each other for example.
We do not know yet the past of the main characters but we have hints and I find it really great how it is well balanced for now

edit : Seem like the team 1 wil try to cover up and team 2 will try to find out the truth that is even more interesting if it takes this route

I will wait until at least half of the drama is out because waiting episodes with thriller's dramas is so tiring...

If you do not know yet I advise you to wait until next week because all the episodes will be out.

If you like mystery and characters with secrets you will perhaps like it it is kind of hard to tell. I find it entertaining but it is not the kind of drama I will remember I think. And a lot of characters are irritating but sometimes it is because we do not know their actual purposes so it is hard to tell if there are doing something good or bad...

edit : This drama seems like a mixture of " Hell is other people", "Mr.Temporary/class of Lies " and " 365 : repeat the years " to me. But it is not the same level of course

For example I thought the serial killer would betray the grandpa and kill him; that would have been satisfacting to watch than just wrap up everything in a mere 5 minutes like seriously he arrested the serial killer in one minute and then the grandpa the minute after ?? Somehow I was expecting a " butterflies's effect " with the fact the detective saved the serial killer in thi timeline so the serial killer would have a change of heart and helps him at the end but noo they just give us the cliché ending...

I agree with nonsensical but I do not find this drama boring so far, I like stories with characters who are linked between them without the viewers knowing it from the start (Like " 395 repeat the year " for example). I think we should not believe the cover of the book (for example whe learnt suddently the detective already knew the victim since two years, Miss Lee since a long time ago because the kid always makes trouble and the upstair guy ? ) because there will be a lot of twists I just hope there will not be a twist like the good guy is in fact the murderer. This drama gives me feels of " Hell is other people " (because most of the character are creep and " Mr.Temporary"because of the similarity with the victim's story but with an hints of humour sometimes misplaced but I like it because it is not always tense like in " Hell is other people " or "Mr.temporary"

But just I do not like the tricks Miss Lee is using she has surely a good reason but it is a pain in the ass to watch the police be tricked like this. At least the detective seems clever but the others ones are just ignorant I am tired just watching them

I do not understande why you think it is Oh Ji Heok who exposed her ^^' And he was watching her at the end because he was worried about her and she happened to have a seizure because that show she is linked perhaps by blood with the evangelist ( he had the same kind of seizure )

Oh JI Hyeok is secretly investigating someone higher up, the real culprit behind the murders in 2015 who lost his watch ( the same Ji Hyeok purchased and is wearing on purpose to find the killer and the people who help him/her to cover it up ) so I think he was not able to help her directly. I wonder if Oh Ji Heok is not also the one who send clues to Do Chang ?

Same, I watched Tunnel 3 years ago and I am still checking it sometimes... Okay there were a lot of clichés but the characters were so great and their way of mixing serious moments/ with funny moments make me miss this... I want to discover it once again but it is not like the first time of course.
(Same for Life On Mars )

Yes I prefer too the 12 episodes format than 16 because often with 16 the last episodes are fillers because they already talk about everything

Yes the first episode is good I already like the main characters I hope it will stays as good

edit : And I am really happy to see Jo Hee Bong plays the team's leader again that really reminds me Tunnel especially when the team does not want to work with the young cop and the young cop is kind of the quiet perceptive type like Kim Seon Jae in Tunnel

Yes this is it ! I think that is why I think it is perfect for an adaptation there are a lot of twists who reminds me asian dramas's twist but I want to see them with a dramatic vibes haha

Dexter was like one of those series I will never forget and to me an adaptation can not replace the original version but I find it interesting to see even so and yeah asian dramas are great with thriller most of the time !

I think it depends to me for example I was not fond of the adapation of Suits... But I really liked Life On Mars and it was a great surprise (I remember I saw it on the " coming soon " drama's list and by curiosity I checked to see if it was indeed an adaptation or something else and now after watching it I hope they would adapt " ashe to ashe " too who explain the purgatory thing in Life on Mars )

What was really interesting with Dexter is how the character was likeable when you know he was a serial killer perhaps because he was killing only killers or bad people ? Or perhaps because of what he saw when he was a baby and so you know why he is like this ? Like he is " mess up " but try to control himself and that is why he obeys hi adoptive's father's advices about how he must use his killing's envy against bad people if he can not control himself

I think it really interesting when a character is " grey" not really good or bad but really human

What is intersting in this serie was the fact some people in the town get suddently a unique power regarding their hobbys/way of living + and Audrey Parker is also linked to all of this (well I do not want to spoil it but there were intersting twists so I think it would be great as a Kdrama)

I think I want to see a lot of remake in korean dramas because I want to see how they handle some aspect and I am really fond of korean version most of the time I find it really interesting

I never watched Outlander but a friend explain to me how great the book are so I think I will read it to try !

As a remake as a korean drama I really want to see " Dexter " ( well there are dramas close to this like Kill it but I did not like it and coming soon " flower of evil " but I means really a drama where the main character is a cop + a serial killer of bad guys )

And " My name is Earl" where a guy wins the loto, lost his ticket in a car's accident and because of that he questions his way of living. Then he makes a list with all the people he wronged and decides to find them and help them in order to " heal " his karma) The serie is about how the karma can impact your life and I think a remake as a korean drama would be really funny to see I think. I do not think it would be especially popular but it would give some frash air7

Edit : The remake I did not expect was " Life on Mars " I watched it years ago ( the british version ) and when I saw the korean version I was so delighted !

I think it is the first time where I will drop a drama because it becomes too much frustrating to watch : usually I still watch fully a drama even if I do not like it but here it is really hard to continue any further.

I thought it would be a funny drama where characters would be after the money at first but gradually become better persons but in fact not at all and it becomes worse. I think the only character I liked was the smart nephew because he was not after the money but at some point it was ridiculious how he does not noticed the lawyer is fake ? From the get go he knew this woman was a conwoman when he saw her stealing the suitcase and she makes a lot of mistakes with the laws so how comes he is blind about her half of the drama ???

I will explain because the resume is not fully right :

- The grandma indeed " abandoned her family 50 years ago " (or more like she ran away because she was raped by her husband's bestfriend and then her husband and mother-in-law were abusing her because they thought she had an affair, it is really despicable and I just do not understand how they can include the man who raped her in "comical "'s moments like he is part of the family just WTF!? )

The grandma will return in Korea because she is sick and wants to give her money to the children she had abandonned. However she has also an adoptive son who is secretly after her money with his birth sister (the grandma does not know the birth siter because her adoptive's son was contacted when his birth sister was sick and that is how they reunite).

So in one hand we have the adoptive son and his birth sister trying to manipulate the grandma : the sister pretends to meet her by chance and then becomes her lawyer when she knows NOTHING about the law)

In another hand there are the grandma's birth family : her son, her daughter, her two grandaughters, her grandson and her grandgranddaughter + the son in law and so on.

And so the grandma stars a bunch of tests for them to pass in orter to choose an heir. -

But frankly do not expect something really interesting and dynamic it is just plenty boring and frustracting all along... When you think characters can not be worse it is worser for example the younger sister is also abused by her in-law and her husband like the grandma's story was not enough ? And the adoptive son is just a pain in the ass because he wans always more money and at some point he forces her sister to continue her lies despite the fact he knows she is in love with the smart nephew. When the smart nephew comes to talk to him he keeps thinking he will break his sister's heart ( wtf is this logic dude ? You are the one forcing her to do awful things and you know her lies will have bad consequences with her love so do not blame the smart nephew for broking her heart later it is normal is someone lie to you, you lost trust for this person LOGIC so blame youserlf instead )
