Can you explain episode 1 to me? it was interesting but I didn't really get it.
An app called "Rejection" was sent to Ayami. In it, one can experience being rejected. So she tries all kinds of situation of being rejected because Ayami hasn't experienced it. Then there is one course/version where she could meet the one she liked before, "Ryota".
Here's the kicker to the story. Ryota is just a paying customer on the app "Rejection" where Ayami is the one offering service of the one being rejected. The same thing can be said to Ryo (the dancer).
Yup, that's Sakura said "I've seen that one before". Though, for me, I didn't know what she was referring in that phrase but I was hoping she was referring to a show, I'm glad someone noticed it. So translating that part, I went with vague as much as possible.

It could be at that time that Dr. Yamanobe and Akira talked about during Akina's funeral that there was a similar case back in the day. Someone with the bloodlines of Maya use the telephone and Ryotaro's real mother escape with the people who entered Inumaki Village.
What is the cursed telephone booth? The telephone booth is connected to Inunaki Vilage every time at 2:00 a.m.. My understanding is that 2:00 a.m. is when the whole village was about to be flooded. This is a time travelling device and would only work to certain people. Any other people would drown.
Let's start by going by the time/date. Inunaki village is a place where none of the outsiders will enter. They feed on wild dogs and is called dog killers. Then one day, Chikushi Electric Company, entered the village in pretense of good faith. The villagers accepted these outsiders. One of the outsider is Kenji (the ghost in hat) who fell in love with Maya and the other is the grandfather of Akira (Kanae's father), the owner of Chikushi Electric Company.
This company then started rounding up villagers, killing men and imprisoning all the women with the dogs. They spread the rumors that the women are mating with dogs. Once all the villagers are dead, the company flooded the whole town. Everything about the events has been covered up or the ghost of the villagers says "put a lid on it" with "lid" being the thing that covers the whole event.
After the villagers has been flooded, a girl has been found abandoned in Kanae's grandfather's home. The one who found the girl (that little boy calling for his father near at the end of the movie) is Hayato (Kanae's grandfather). The girl is then named "Yai" who then gives birth to Ayano (Kanae's mother). Ayano then marries Akira and have three kids, Kanae, Yuma and Kota.
Sometime before the event of the movie, a pregnant woman escape Inunaki Village and gave birth to Ryotaro in the hospital where Kanae works.
Yuma and Akina (for Youtube video) went to the cursed telephone booth hoping that the urban legend is true and they soon found out that it is. The phone rang and Akina answered the phone. The reason why Akina wasn't drowned is because Yuma was with her. Akina found a house and has decided to pee there. While Yuma was out searching, Akina, trapped in that house was attacked by the ghost wounding her in the face and they both escaped.
Kanae then met Ryotaro who is having a bad dream. His dreams are related to Inunaki Village. Kanae met the ghost of Ryotaro's real mother. This soon then triggers her ability to see ghost again. Events then in the movie played as it is.
Towards the end of the movie, Kanae answered the phone, went to Inunaki Village, saved her brothers and rescued a baby girl who will then be Yai.
The movie ends with Kanae fully transformed to a monster. Just like her great-grandmother, Maya, her grandmother, Yai and her mother, Ayano.
