This is the part that reasonable people take issue with. It assumes that everyone watching this show is unable to recognise where this show is problematic, and thus they all need their head examined.

Could be I dont know. I haven't gotten past episode 6. I got bored. I do remember there were good bits, but some of it was silly in an unentertaining way and there were issues with the acting.

At least it doesn't make you want to weep with boredom and fast forward like Don't Say No and TharnType. It's actually kinda funny that TharnType could be that boring and that toxic at the same time.

Did Boss/Phayu bite on somekind of fake blood capsule before that kiss, is that part of why the kiss felt off? So closed mouthed to keep the liquid in? Was the bleeding really needed? He moved smt in his mouth before the kiss, you can see it. The whole kiss, I don't know how I'm supposed to read it, it was odd. Was it just bad acting and directing or was it trying to convey something specific?

I was simply pointing out that the issue is not strictly speaking Thai versus West, it's Yaoi versus not Yaoi. When you are consuming kink, you are supposedly aware that's what it is kink. With MAME and specifically her filmed works, people aren't all that aware of what tradition the product comes from. Kinky versus mainstream etc. The way some of the kinky Yaoi bleeds into the mainstream and is consumed by people who are clueless of the intricacies, is what makes it kind of harmfull and annoying, especially when it's related to a sensitive subject like lgbtq+.

I have zero interest in being morally superior to anyone. I'm not kink shaming, nor am I advocating for people to stop reading and watching. If anything, I'd be advocating for people to be MORE AWARE of what they are consuming, TO UNDERSTAND the whys and wherefores. When I say personally rapey Yaoi annoys me, and I want it gone, the statement does lack nuance, I guess. Though, it doesn't mean I'm about to start a book burning club or want to ban it. 😁

I don't agree with the Puritanical people, I can do complicated. I'm just over toxic yaoi, and wish that MAME would just give up on it too, because it's unnecessary and many people don't even know what it is, or where all the noncon comes from. I guess hope springs eternal. With MAME there's a promise of a good story, and we are just hoping for the best once again.

On the other hand, it's such an established fact that MAME stories are problematic, people just take it as a given, so I guess it's not even reflected in their scoring anymore. I'm so over her, I just file all of it under unacceptable MAME BS, and go on with my life watching her shows if they look interesting.

I like the show, even though I'm itching to give Rain a haircut 🙃.

I have no love for MAME. In her books she throws the story off the rails with her issues with sex. She writes obvious rape scenes that she tries to sell as normal, there's no way around that fact. The continuing disconnect with the fun and the rapey behaviour is extra irritating, why can't she just freaking stop already. Luckily the shows don't go that far, so I can deal, and enjoy the entertaining parts that she comes up with.

For me in Until We Meet Again, the magic of WinTeam was defined by two scenes.

1.The one were Team goes to Win's room at night, because he can't sleep and being with Win gives him peace. The concept was lovely, they did write it well and the acting was okay.
2.The other scene was the one where they were in the cabin at the trip to the waterfall and Win asks Team to not run, to not be afraid. It wasn't acted as well, but the idea in the scene was sweet.
I'm a sucker for a you give my soul peace and set my body on fire type of storyline.

This show is all over the place. Also, I hope the guys can level up their acting like in Love Mechanics, because honestly it was never the most impressive thing, no matter how much I like them.
