But again Rain has not agreed to having any kind of a Dom. Not once from the beginning, where Phayu gave him a form of "safe words" in the bathroom. "Tell Phayu to let Rain go." to which Rain said "No" as in I will not tell you to let me go i.e. Rain gave a sort of a concent to that Dom/sub scene.

I can see the resemblance. I really liked '10 things I hate about you' and a 2005, BBC adaptation for the ShakespeaRe-Told series that relocates the story to contemporary London, with Shirley Henderson as the lead.

Yeah, I don't really agree with certain aspects of this writing. Especially the lack of consent from Phayu/Rain to anything kinky (which is such an obvious requirement that I even forget to mention it specifically), as well as the vibes of condescension from Phayu, which I've mentioned before. That's what I meant with "Mame writing off (i.e. "wrong") interpretations of kink". Maybe I wasn't all that clear in what I said.

The reason the way Phayu spoke might feel off, is because Mame is playing with D/s like she often does. Like someone said on youtube, it's' dom brat tamer' and 'sub brat' dynamics and they have been a bit kinky from the start. Mame does her own subtle, and sometimes off, interpretations of kinky subgenres, so they aren't always obvious to the viewer. Someone who is more knowledgeable about the subject can elaborate, since I'm not a member of that community.

Rain does have an air of hesitation and wonder hanging about him. Even with the scene where Phayu puts his arm around Rain to keep his brother away, Rain's facial expression looked like a mix of awe and hesitation, when he looks at Phayu.

Like people said, the storyline isn't new, but it might be the best MAME has done so far. I think it's been interesting enough to be fun to watch.

Rain: That guy is hot, wait what? I'm confused now.
Phayu: The way you are hitting on me, isn't very artfull, but I'm into you. Let's have some casual sex maybe?
Rain: I'm not into you, you lunatic.
Phayu: Well, that's an obvious lie, but I think you're cute, maybe we could have a more serious relationship. Let me show you how you clearly think I'm hot as hell.
Rain: Damn, I guess I do think you're sexy. Why are you so calm about this situation. I'm going to make you crazy too, see if I don't. I'll make you love me.
Phayu: Bring it on. It will only help you see how good we could be together. The bonus is, you won't even notice I'm chasing you, trying to make you fall for me, not the other way around.
Rain: This hitting on a guy stuff is difficult, also I like being around you. Well, damn.
Phayu: I like you. Do you even really realise how you feel about me? Can you be serious about me? We can't just play games that distract you to the point of you not doing your schoolwork. Maybe you should just leave me be.

The editing is kinda weird sometimes. It's not even very clear the final scene is always a flashback isn't it?
Flashbacks:
1. The one where Rain rolls into Phayu on the bed, and Phayu says I'm starting to like you.
2. The one at the race track, where Phayu calls someone to tell them to replace him for the race, so he can go catch Rain.
3. The one with Phayu being sent a picture saying Rain is an architecture student. So Phayu does know who Rain is.
4. The one where Rain sneaked into Phayu's bed to sleep during the day, and Phayu says: I'll wait until you are ready.

It doesn't have a new and innovative storyline, but a storyline isn't everything. Theory of Love had a storyline, and I was so bored I could've cried. This one is neither a bore, nor do you need to be crazy horny to watch it LOL.

His acting does seem a little uneven. I mean some less verbal scenes are really nice, better than ones with a lot of lines, I guess...I'm not saying the hot scenes that obviously have less lines are the only good ones😁.

Rain was mad at Phayu, because Rain had such a strong reaction to being around Phayu, but Rain felt that Phayu was just playing with him, that Phayu didn't have the same intense feelings for Rain. So Rain bit Phayu as if to say: You don't have all the power in this relationship, I'm not worth any less than you Phayu. That's why Rain also said, I'm going to make you fall in love with me.

I don't understand why some people think Phayu asking Rain to be responsible, was a problem. It was maybe way too grown up and reasonable to be a realistic scenario, but otherwise such an adult thing to do. It's surely draining to be in a relationship with a person, who isn't in charge of their own life or know what they want from you.

That kiss at the garage with the thank you from Phayu, was sweet and the beginning of them being more or less on the same page about how they feel about each other.
