better still, they should cast you in the sequel as the deaf Senpai who teaches Kouhei 'advanced' sign language....one who uses dramatic and intensely manipulative ways to try and drive a rift between Kouhei and Taichi (I'm squealing at the very thought of how Kakkoii that would be)..And then I'm sure you will be infinitely more entertaining than Maya...but off course, will eventually be defeated by all the bento (strictly wooden)-food-art, umai, nande, da suki da, visiting onsen, wearing appropriately drab yukatas, and deeply looking into each other's eyes (without kissing)...:D

I haven't watched that series @House of Stars..should I?...and isn't most Thai shows campy anyway? that's part of the charm to start with...

Yes, absolutely agreed @low budget...and TBH, I do not focus too much on the production values as long as I have a good script, storyline and chemistry between the leads....and erm, whether I like looking at the leads...🤭

@KBLs...when I started watching them (not very long ago) my expectations were high because everyone seem to be talking about KDramas...after watching a few, I was like...eh..the world is this hooked to 'fake'?...I mean it is okay to like them at ti mes, as time-pass, non-challenging, conforming, easy-watches..but such hype!!!!

@Real gems, do you have a top 3 that I can start with? I would be very interested in Myanmar in particular, but all the others too

Ditto..I dont really plan to either....I can only just about grudgingly tolerate to look at men with those insanely painted faces....if I were to include women as well, I'll drown in that terrifying concoction of pearly white paint and diffused white light....even if I do survive, I'll come out paler than even the most ghostly painting of Queen Elizabeth I

TBH, I feel most KBLs feel and look a tad too 'airbrushed' and make-believe....too much of uncanny perfection, with the perpetually diffused warm lighting, impeccably dressed people, with absolutely flawless skins....it starts to get on my nerves after a while...that's not to say that I don't enjoy KBLs at all...but far and between...

I'm looking forward to watching some of the Non MDL countries BLs that you have listed btw...😁

Couldn't have said it any better....I wasn't too sure about creating yet another ID here on MDL, even though I have been tempted every once in a while ... however, when I saw this comment of yours, I had to respond....so, here I am ...😁

Most Korean BLs seem a tad too air-brushed and photoshop-ed to me (including their scripts, etc.)...I mean I still do watch them, but I wish they would become a tad less 'sanitised' and care a tad less about being 'spotless' 🙄
