Give this some time, it'll grow on you...and yes, Keen-Sea are really magical when together

This show is indeed like gravity, you are not particularly impressed or thrilled with it at first, but it keeps pulling you nevertheless...I was so happy to see my pookies Keen-Sea back with a show, but was borderline disappointed with the first two episodes where the script seems rather bland......but episode 3 was a game changer....I upped my score and will keep watching...this drama is a grower, give it some time...🥰

BL-Needle Score: 8.5 High BL-ness

Keen-Sea really are magical when together, and I just changed my review after episode 3....I am particularly impressed by Sea....he's really acing the nerd-neurodivergent-kind younger guy in love - act....and the ways that we see Niran very slowly melt away to Cheewa's transparent attempts at hitting on him, is plain adorable.....

Verdict: Yes, watch!

Plain delicious and full of electric tension!! William-Est shine in diametrically opposite avtars

What an epic start!!! Est and William seem all set to prove that they can do all kinds of roles with equal ease!

BL-needle Score: 8.5. High BL-ness

Off course I was looking forward to the next from William-Est after the delicious ThamePo...and they dont disappoint at all! This is almost diametrically opposite of what they played in ThamePo...coy, sincere and having integrity to a fault....William plays an out and out playboy with very questionable romantic integrity and constantly leading people on...even though he does seem to convey that the engagements are light-hearted flirting and ONS only, for obvious reasons he leaves behind hurt people and people who think he took them for a ride...in other words, a full-on RED FLAG..........and Est is least interested in romantic overtures, professional to the tee, looks at anyone who sends out romantic tentacles with a lot of suspicion and annoyance, and anyone trying to flirt gets an almost brutal rebuttal from him......it does look like love and romance is very special to him....

With such polar opposite characters that Est and William play, their face-off is going to be really exciting!! And then with so many cross-connections of A loving, B, B loving C and so on, we can very well expect deliciously messy thrills!!!

Verdict: Yes, Watch!!

How many times does one expect the 'cute brothers in love' clickbait to work? Mostly lame

Ok, you were probably like me - jumping into this just looking at China and BL, well, don't. The first episode was pretty lame. The only good thing are the production values and to an extent, the cute boys, But it ends there.

BL-needle score: 7.5 Reasonably high BL-ness

I mean how many times does one want to do the step-brother/grown-up together-brothers being in love with each other!! And even if you do, wouldn't all the precedence of it need you to make it extremely compelling for people to want to watch it?? This has none of that. The script is all over the place and so is the logic (ok, I still discounted that since a large number of BLs anyway defy logic). I clicked on it with a lot of interest only to have cold water poured on me. Avoid :/

Good story, good looking leads, and ok acting...but the script is ruining it

I started this majorly because the director is the one who also directed the OG Addicted, and NGL, also to drool at Wang Chen Rui....after watching the first 3 episodes, I am divided - the story is good, the actors are also reasonably good, but the script has too many loopholes

BL-Needle Score: 7.5 Reasonably high BL-ness

The leads are really gorgeous and the guy who plays Xu Feiyu, (Sun Xiaoxiao?), seems like a better actor than Wang Chen Rui so far...but the script is a turn-off with too many loopholes

1. Why on earth would Xu Feiyu go around with a bandage on his eyes like that..his family seems reasonably well off with the kind of house he lives in....why would he not have the doctor prescribe him a dark glass or something similar to wear? And then who ties the bandage to him..there is no one around - was it the last caregiver who he drove away?

2. Who cleans that big house and why are they never around? Even though Xu Feiyu has haphephobia, house helps can very well manage around it.

3. His mother is off to a work trip without a househelp even when she knows how sensitive/tantrum-ey he is and the caregiver is likely to be driven away?

4. If Song Yi is so hell bent on finding his half-brother that he actually traveleled to another country to do that, and then he immediately spots him conveniently at his senior's place where he goes seeking shelter, he is expected to be a little more serious about it and not joke around all the time, immaterial to how prankster-ey he is otherwise

In a nut shell, the message so far seems if you want to enjoy this, don't go looking for too much logic and details.

Verdict: Maybe watch to see where this goes because story is good, and the leads are good?

One word - SIZZLING!!! Go watch.....WAIT...WTF was that ending!!!!!!

Damn!! This is sooooooo good.....woof!!! Yes, that's what I wrote after Ep 3 and continued to be convinced till Ep 15.....and then, we had THAT ending!!!! You can watch for how good Hua's actor is, but don't expect too much...and definitely not any redemption. I am downgrading it to 7.5 for that rushed and shitty ending!

Please be aware that this a Omegaverse story that involves fantasy setting of men getting pregnant, etc., so check that bit out before you start watching.

BL-needle score: 7. Reasonable BL-ness. Frankly, I'm at a loss with this score for this show since it is hardly a quintessential BL. May be I need to revise the constituent of my BL-needle score. I probably will if there are enough content like this coming our way. :D

This show has all the potential to change how BLs are made and consumed....the script, production, acting, every damn thing is so much more matured than almost 90% of the BL dramas that we see. I have rarely come across BL shows that invested so much in its script, nuance and small details, that I see in this show, which is an absolutely welcome change. I just hope it doesn't get stuck mid-way with the whole censorship miasma in China for BL content.

While the story itself may not appeal to those who have issues with the Omegaverse, I would say that if you are giving this a miss because of that, you'll loose out

Gameboy-ish, fluffy start to a typical tropey Thai BL that is getting tamer with new episodes

It starts off on similar premise as Gameboys in ways, two people meet on the game and start engaging and liking each other....with an additional Pi-Nong element (typical Thai) and a fake rivalry build-up that leads to cute exchanges. But with passing episodes it just gets tamer

BL-Needle Score: 8, reasonably high BL-ness

I am not expecting much from this one but plain cuteness and fluff. The way Soh wears that bear head and the reactions that show up on the screen despite his face being behind that is completely narak!!

They are wasting the Sky-Nani chemistry with cute but tame scripts

It started off well...but became tamer with every episode....I was waiting with a lot of anticipation for this one, after the rollercoaster that High School Frenemy was, and though this was cute, I am disappointed with how surface it is. This was not even remotely close to the electrifying experience that High School Frenemy was

BL-Needle Score: 7. Reasonable BL-ness

Sky-Nani pairing up to fight Yao energy together while (B)Romancing with their angst-love energy......was supposed to be plain delish...but well, just that it was not...it was cute and had some arresting moments....I know this was supposed to be a bromance, but why waste Sky-Nani's chemistry and acting abilities for just decidedly tame, feel good stories? I am even ready to overlook/accept the Bromance fence-sitting that they have been asked to do...at least that somewhat added to the charm of High School Frenemy...but Wu was too surface and they are capable of so much more. I hope GMMTV Team finds them a more 'intense' script next time.

Underwhelming start, but gets better with each episode

I was really intrigued by what seemed to be the first ever Zombie-verse BL drama and that whole 'the boy who lived'- thing...the trailer looked quite good too...but, the first two episodes disappointed...but it improves from episode 3 onward and becomes better with each episode

BL-Needle Score: 7.5 Reasonable BL-ness so far

There were too many script loopholes in ep 1 & 2, and the tone was swinging between serious and unsure where to go....and then, some scenes seem almost comic...I think the makers were confused whether to make a show with completely serious apocalypse tone, or make use of the 'zombie' to poke some fun...as it is, no matter what shows they make about zombies, almost all of them mandate those weirdly comical hand-body movements as SOP for all zombies across nations...which kinda takes the seriousness away

The leads are not bad and A Lie, the one hunting for the immune one seems good...but one can only do so much with intense stares, etc. when the script is bad. For e.g., They give absolutely no explanation as to A lie he wanted Lin Zai to feed him the food when he could easily use his own hands for that death-grip on him right after he woke up and thought Lin Zai was a threat...there are many like that all through the first two episodes, but it improves somewhat after that

I will continue to watch for the novelty of the theme and since the storytelling improved from episode 3 onward

Verdict: Watch if you are intrigued by the novel storyline

Their marriage is a staged act, but he is still jealous... messy alert!!

Kit and Non are trying to negotiate the slippery slope of a 'fake' marriage that the world must see as real, as Non tries his hardest to not slip up and let his real attraction to Kit show..... the story is headed for a really messy and delish turn it seems. Our good looking third-wheel from The Cursed Love, Thakhi, has managed to beat the curse and emerge as the main lead in this one..and looking yummy !!

BL-needle Score: 7.5. Reasonably high BL-ness

Kit, the good looking, borderline playboy heir of a business empire gets caught in a compromising position with his ex who is currently dating a guy from a powerful family....the guy bloodies him and threatens to further drag this until Kit's adopted younger bro Non, comes forward and claims that Kit and him are fiances .....Kit loves him and hence there is no chances of him loving that ex girl....Kit's Mom goes all out, hosts a wedding, and does everything to make the marriage and partnership happen .....it saves Kit from the guy, but lands him in a fix where he doesn't love Non in a romantic way.....what Kit doesn't know though is that Non, who has been his nong and sparring partner for boxing practice, has always loved and thirsted after him....

Kit wants Non to not speak about their marriage to anyone, embarrassed and also guilt driven that Non had to do to save him..... I'm waiting for the other guy who will take a liking to Non and unleash the jealousy from Kit

The only downside is the confusion between scenes that are fantasy/dream scenes and real ones.... Non is given to day dreaming and fantasy involving Kit and at times its difficult to tell which was the fantasy and which was real, for e.g the kissing once the lights went off at the wedding....even though it is very likely to Non's fantasy, it was not made explicitly clear whether that is the case....and then, if it was not a fantasy, why on earth would Kit kiss him like that!!!

Verdict: Watch if you have time, if not, wait for 2 more episodes for an updated review

Cute JBL- started off really well!

That whole 'I realised I love you only when I saw you leave'-trope - never gets old I guess 🥰

BL-needle Score: 7.5. Reasonably high BL-ness

I really liked the first episode. Has a simple story line and the execution doesn't feel over the top or comic-ish, which is the case for many cute JBLs these days. Wataru realises his attraction to Minato only when he leaves for another town for his job after having lived together for 5 years.

The way Wataru keeps repeating 'Tomodachi'(just friends) while running to meet him when Minato returns to town exactly on the 10th anniversary of their first meeting, was so awwwwww. And Minato has such deep eyes and stares with such meaning at Wataru that you can't but melt.

The only thing that felt off is that for a friend who is that close, Wataru should have been dropping Minato off at the airport when he was going off, and not said bye outside their apartment.

I love the pent-up longing and the delish tension of unspoken words and desire between them

Definitely looking forward to the next episodes...:)

What a scintillating start...Woof!

Delish red-flag all set to be humbled by healing love....I cant wait for the cocky-arrogant Ing to be humbled by Yok's nonchalant, upright and irresistibly attractive persona....its but plain to see that Ing's attitude is an absolute put-on and mask....and it will be oh so beautiful to see that being unmasked by Yok...

BL-Needle Score: 8. High BL-ness

The successful, arrogant cocky and eldestson-heir to a business empire, Ing, is all that and some more...untill he meets the young senator's younger bro Yok and is instantly smitten...Ing is set to try and use all his charms, attitude and connections, but Yok seems to see through all of it and essentially outs Ing in place, albeit without being arrogant or disrespectful....its clear that the formidable Ing that most people around are in awe of, has met his nemesis in Yok

This promises to be really yummy, messy, and a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and I'm so sat!!

Verdict: Yes, Watch!
