Nice article!! I watched Kong: Skull Island many months ago, and only noticed a few days ago, after downloading…
Thanks a lot for your comment :) Yeah, it's great to see new Godzilla films coming out like fresh bread rolls :D I hope that Toho will pick up the series after 2020.

I remember going to Suncoast and always looking for new godzilla movies as kid and buying them on VHS. I used…
The U.S. is the go-to market for Godzilla home video releases. Unfortunately too many companies have licenses, so we will never get a full dvd/blu-ray boxset.

Thank you for the comment. I'm glad that you found the text to be informative. Godzilla should be signed up to the UNESCO cultural heritage list :)

Just read that the director for Monsterverse is planning a prehistoric Godzilla movie!!! can't wait!!!!
It sounds interesting, but the movie has a long way to get a green light. Two upcoming Godzilla movies have to sell well and, after 2020, the contract with Toho will be renegotiated.

My little brother loves the Godzilla franchise. I was looking for a christmas present for him one year and thought…
Great! It's really hard to collect the movies though because of numerous cuts and out of stock editions.

It made me think, what would happen to japan if world war 2 didn't happen. There might be no anime and Godzilla…
You are very much right. In addition, events that happened in Japan immediately after the war are also important. I recommend you a film "Emperor" from 2012.

I'm a 90s kid who grew up watching Godzilla on cassette tapes, so I feel nostalgic reading this. Very comprehensive…
Thank you! Unfortunately Godzilla films received a very limited release on home video in Poland (half of the titles at the best on vhs and dvd). But I'll always remember the thrill of seeing Heisei and Millennium entries on TV late at night :)

I almost missed this! Great article. Did know know that Godzilla was an allegory. Wow! I probably saw the first…
I was able to see most of Godzilla films on television in the late 1900s/early 2000s. Nowadays, no station airs such movies. A pleasant surprise was when I caught "Stray Dog" on some arthouse channel in the early morning. lol! Thanks for the comment :)

Thank you so much! I know that Pulgasari is really weird and I even toy with the idea about covering the story behind its making (which is quite cringy/sad/hilarious) :)
