If Patt wasn't understanding his words before he was drunk, he certainly wasn't going to understand any words he said while drunk and still in an angry fit at his house.

I agree with your take on it. The conflict was earned. They didn't just throw episode 10 at us for the sake of drama. Everything that occurred this episode was alluded to and set up starting from episode 1. I also love how complex each character is, even some of the more minor characters. It's obvious a lot of actual planning and story-boarding took place when creating this show. that shouldn't be notable, but unfortunately too many show writers/creators fail to even do this most basic step.

This came out as a (bad) movie first. the movie was only bad because they cut this 4+ hour series down to two hours, so it was choppy and not a proper story from what people who've seen it have said.

"Yeon Woo" wasn't actually a real person, he was someone sent by Redrin to make Rembrary hated in the human realm to weaken his powers. Being liked/worshiped strengthens Rembrary's powers, so Redrin wanted him (or a lookalike of him) to be hated so that she could weaken him.

"Yeon Woo" was actually someone called Ardour who is from Remrary's world and who always wanted to be like Rembrary, so Redrin transformed him into a lookalike of Rembrary and tasked him to make himself hated. Since he wasn't actually a hateful person and just played a character (Yeon Woo) that was one, when he saw Dal with those things, Ardour took them from her.

The prequel episodes are so much better than the ones released for this series. They are called Phupha and Nanfah. They have their own shared MDL page and people have their YT links in the comments. They were released a few months apart and have a way more mature tone.

Even episode 1 of this series is disappointing compared to those prequel episodes, and like you said, episode 2 is a complete dumpster fire imo, (I couldn't even finish it), especially when compared to the prequel episodes.

The "comedy" in this show feels like it's made for children, yet the jokes are too adult for that. If episodes 1 and 2 feel like night and day to you, the feeling is even more drastic when comparing the prequel episodes to whatever this is. I feel like I've been falsely advertised to lol.

I would probably like this more if I hadn't watched the prequel episodes. This has turned into the typical "comedic" Thai bl complete with the sound effects; (The only one missing is the overused horse sound), and as a result, these episodes seem so childish in comparison to the prequel ones.

I'm okay with Thai BLs like this one when I expect them to be this way, but I wasn't expecting this show to be one of them given the tone and maturity of the prequel episodes. This series and its prequel episodes seem made for two completely different audiences.

After checking, I now know they have a different director and probably a different screenwriter too which likely explain all of the changes they've made from the original story that was told. It's disappointing because I was really looking forward to this show.

In short, I recommend not watching the two prequel episodes before watching this show. This series has changed the plot and entire tone of this show anyway, so there's no point in watching them. They're two separate things imo, and if you like one, you may not like the other given how different they are.

This is the first History season I dropped, and based on people's reaction to the finale episodes, I'm glad I did. What a waste.

Dongbaek gets stabbed saving Youdam. Denis realises his mistake, (he thought Youdam's love was one-sided and was the cause of Dongbaek's misery when really it was him), and sacrifices himself so that Dongbaek can live. Dongbaek wakes up in a hospital iirc, and he is the one who doesn't remember Youdam, unlike in the drama, but he has vague deja vu of Youdam/their relationship. He eventually remembers and he and youdam continue on with their relationship. One of the last lines in the manhwa is Youdam ragging on Dongbaek for not remembering him first like he promised to do.

Right?! I cracked up because I just did not expect what he actually said to come out of his mouth, (assuming the translation is correct). That threw me way off 😂

I honestly almost died laughing at that part 😂. I thought he was about to say he had some rare disease or something, not that his "condition" was him being gay 😂.

They kept that kiss scene, but it was watered down some.

Denis wasn't really a hero. He was the one who caused the problems for the leads, so his sacrifice was more him correcting his wrongs.

I love this show so much. I think the ending could have benefited from having about ten more minutes so that it could have been more-fleshed out, (it felt rushed in the last 5-10 mins), but overall, I'm happy with what we got.

I'm so glad Jung Hyun got redeemed in the end because just looking at Leo's face annoyed me because of this show, (a testament to his acting), and it made watching my favorite VIXX MVs a tiny bit harder lmao. I hope the cast are all able to have thriving acting careers and star in other projects because they really did well in this show.
