I believe someone who's Thai answered this iirc, and they said Engineering is a really popular major in Thailand because it's seen as a secure field to go into.

It depends on how that Thai pork dish is made/what spices or seasonings they use. Also, I've never had porridge, but by the way it's always described as being bland, they may not put much, of any, salt/seasonings in it, which tracks with the fact that it always looks so white. If they actually seasoned porridge properly, I'm sure it'd show just like how it's obvious when grits or steamed rice have been seasoned.
No wonder ukes are so weak and sickly if parental care is being told "don't let him sleep or eat or he won't get…

Yeah. He's likely 17 given that he's a senior and hasn't taken his college exams yet. The Japanese school year is from April to March, and college exams start in January. Since they said summer just started, then he's in his first semester of his senior year at the start of the show. I don't know how much time passed in this episode though.
I don't know why this series isn't more popular, but i love it so far.
The first episode was really bad. I dropped the show for a while because of how bad the pilot was and only picked it back up once I saw more positive comments about it. The first episode of this show is imo its worse episode, and that's unfortunate because it's usually the first episode that makes people decide whether to watch a show or not.
This was lining up to be one of my favorite BLs ever, and then they had to pull this crap. I don't want nothing to do with anything else the writers responsible for this make because clearly they can't be trusted.
Why do they look like they got one foot in the grave? Whoever did their makeup needs to be jailed for the crimes they committed on Holland and Gi Chan's beautiful faces.

"I don't know about this - it doesn't make a lot of sense. So reapers are invisible unless they're wearing Hawaiian shirts? "
They're likely following the same rules for reapers like the ones in the Kdrama Goblin. In that show and likely this one, Reapers are only invisible when they are wearing their "uniform." In Goblin, the uniform was a suit and black hat, in this show it's the black outfit they were wearing. The reaper was surprised Prakan could see him because he was in his uniform which is essentially like an invisibility cloak, but otherwise the reapers can be seen.
The writer(s) who made this show really do not understand the concept of show not tell at all. I should not feel like I'm sitting in a (boring) lecture because you're spending what feels like ages introducing characters.
The whole conversation about him being a picky eater should have been cut or at least edited. they could have shortened it to the friends saying how annoying it is that he's a picky eater and telling him to pick the restaurant, and then followed that up with the scene of him looking at the other chefs' foods uninterested until he saw the MC's, and that would have gotten the same point across in half the time. That entire dialogue was not necessary besides it filling up time.
I really think Thai BLs would be so much better if their creators were limited to 30 minutes max because them having 43+ minutes isn't cutting it. This obviously doesn't apply to every show, but many of them, and especially this one.
Agree with your other points though.
