I think the nurse is more suspicious. Myna/Bage was threaten by the japs by holding his daughter as hostage. Suddenly her photo show up in Bage hotel and provided her an "identity" as Myna/Bage daughter. If she really his daughter, his effort must be more focus on getting her out of there, instead waiting for the japs to call him. And she wanted to get close to Yun Hong Shen and brother maybe because the japs want to use them.
