Takeru doesn't sound like himself. I had to double take when he appeared and spoke the first time. Did he change his voice for the role? Anyways, I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes.
Liu Yuning has this crazy commanding aura. The moment he appears on screen, he owns is.. I'm gonna say it.. he is currently my favourite c actor and I'm someone who rarely chooses favourites. He is that guy!
How should I rate this? Because I feel that under the terrible sub, the deleted scenes and the fade to black transitions in an attempt to censor their growing love, there is something truly amazing. I remember the first 8 episodes had me in a chokehold. Really sad that the japanese streaming site bought the censored version of an already censored drama. The changes after episode 8 are really noticeable and hard to accept. If I knew nothing about the situation I might be more lenient because I can tell everyone gave their best.
The moment I saw the bts photos of ZXC, I knew he was the right choice for Fei Du and as acting goes, the character was in safe hands. FXB was unknown to me, was a bit more skeptic but he came through and could keep up with ZXC.
This drama keeps reminding me of Guardian and what it could have been. Some day, if we are lucky we might get to see the original version. Alas, I'm still thankful for what we got but I'm at this weird place rn where I love it but I'm also mehh about it.
At the end of the day I leave this drama with positive feelings because it ended on a note that is satisfying though I suspect something was yet again cut from the last scene. Idk, if anyone knows what the script says, please let me know.
Honestly, Pei Su and his little soundless words almost made me tear up. So emotional. Episode 30 was a rare case of last episode done right. Once again, the crew and actors did great. I can't say a anything negative about them, it is just the circumstances that suck. Damn you, ccp!
The last few episodes felt rushed but I am still giving it a 10 for the amazing relationship between our leads and THAT intimate scene. I teared up quite a few times some of the dialogues were beautiful. This is not just an enemies to lovers drama but a story about moving on, the power of communication, understanding and healing and imo it was done right. Definitely putting this on my re-watch worthy dramas list. It was a fun ride! Gonna miss waiting for the new episodes.
7.9 is shameful. SHAMEFUL! This drama is so entertaining. Almost didn't give it a chance because of the negative comments but I'm glad I didn't listen to you.
He has a bigger picture to look at....He will blow his cover making a bigger deal over a "girl"He can ruin the…
Yeah, It's been shown time and time again that JCY's mission is important to him, it is something that is bigger than him and a lot of people count on him. Also, Mudan wished for a man who backs her up and trusts her enough to know she is not a damsel. That is what's gonna happen always. JCY will be there to help but Mudan will do her thing.
I actually thought JCY showed a lot of emotion, the most he has shown and can show for others to see.
Can't believe how awful the last two episodes were, I'm genuinely baffled. I kept asking "what?" again and again and again until the credits thankfully rolled.
A 7.6 is a ridiculously low rating for this drama, it might not be perfect but it definitely deserves more. I'm glad I stumbled upon it on Neflix. A solid watch though you probably should be in a mood for a slow and artsy vibed series.
It was so touching to see JCY being all worried for Mudan. He probably rode on horseback for hours to get to her, his body must be sore. I can't wait to see him as her husband, hopefully by the end of the season. He will do everything his wife asks for, you just know he will be a softie. Power couple era hurry up!
Realistically speaking Ruki would be the better choice to be in a relationship with. He would never cheat and would let Miu live a peaceful life but at the same time Ren is just so delicious that I can't fault Miu for falling for him. Ruki deserves someone who loves him genuinely and is not a second option. That is why I was perfectly okay with the Korean version ending with the two mains being together. They deserve each other's toxicity.
In this version though, I don't feel like Ren is toxic. That is why a perfect face is not enough. I'm gonna drag Song Kang so his fans please close your eyes and don't read further. He is handsome but a terrible actor. No layers whatsoever to his character so he looks shady af. Meanwhile Yokohama Ryusei is delivering a compelling character where it is obvious he has some circumstances that he can't talk about to Miu but he likes her very much. To be fair I don't remember the Korean storyline that much but I know the male lead always felt like a player. The acting chops make a huge difference. Ryusei's every glance, his tone of voice and the way he carries himself are deliberate and I love watching him. I'm glad they decided to make a japanese version.
This is already so much better than the original version. I love the changes they made. Ren doesn't seem as shady as the korean version or is it just Yokohama Ryusei's charisma that adds something plus to the character? He is incredibly mesmerizing, I can't take my eyes off him. I like Miu too, she is a quiet, chill girl but not too shy to go for what she wants. The cinematography and the music are top notch too. This drama got me good. Gimme all the episodes nauuuvvv!
Ok,I don't know anything about kpop so this is not about anything but someone told me this will have solid bromance,I…
I will die on the hill that Jungkook and Suga's characters were more than friends. Not sure if it will come through the drama but if you watch the BU (Bangtan Universe) videos on youtube you will see what I'm talking about. If you love bromance it might worth to check out. There is a whole story line with strong brotherhood and pairings.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes.
