We can't forever blame LSS for everything she does, because everything that happened was written by scriptwriters. Because if there are no misunderstandings (plot twists etc.) there will be no story, even though sometimes misunderstandings are unrealistic or illogical, like the case of the poisoned porridge, why does YXW have to cook at Ye's house? Or why are the prison guards not given porridge with sleeping pills? why give it to TTJ? TTJ is emperor, I think he is busy with many problems, not only to look after XL. And the tower scene where TTJ has to choose one of his two beloved, should it the only choice is YXW who is his wife, while YBC is only his sister-in-law (maybe TTML doesn't update TTJ's information😆). In OG, YBC is his concubine.
About love, logically we don't have to oblige someone to accept our love, no matter how big and sincere our love is for him (her). Many comments say YXW (LSS)'s love is not sincere because of the mission. We need to remember, LSS was originally sent on a mission to destroy the evil bones and kill TTJ before he became a demon (devil) god, but the story becomes complicated because LSS sympathizes (pity) with TTJ's life experience, from that sympathy comes affection then love because of attention TTJ for her. LSS often thinks about wanting to be with TTJ until the time comes (leave because the mission is completed or she dies), so that she is less obsessed with her personal love because she has to loves everyone as immortal with heartless way cultivation to become goddess. Whereas TTJ, his love for YXW (LSS) arose because of the attention and protection given by YXW (LSS), and he felt that YXW was the only one who loved him and wanted to be with him, so his love was more possessive and obsessive.
In the tower scene, after TTJ sees the memories shown by LSS, he asks why she doesn't trust him?...LSS replies that she doesn't want to risk (gamble) the future of the three realms for the little goodness in DG's heart. This is because the TTJ is often controlled by his emotions and cannot predict what he will do. In OG, he is natural evil thing, yandere ML.

I see what you mean. Actually, to find out what LSS really thinks is clearer in OG because there she is the MC (Main Character), while in the drama, TTJ is the MC.
In my opinion about "owe each other", I see it more in the scene where LSS is dying after being strangled by YBC, there Jize explains to LSS, if she doesn't want to owe TTJ, she will owes it to many people (the world), continued her monolog when she meditating to form divine essence, that she owed TTJ in this life for the safety of the world. By exchanging her divine essence for evil bones, she want to paid off her debt, because she was ready to die facing punishment as a WOJ user. That's why when TTJ chose YBC, LSS's POV "I'm not in debt (owe you) anymore", because punishment was about to come, WOJ was exchanged with SDN (nails), while evil bones with divine essence. If TTJ chose her as survivor, then she would still feel indebted (owe) to him. Regarding hatred, she felt that TTJ still hated hee, so he didn't choose her, so she said she hated him to the bones and didn't want to meet him in another life, so that TTJ would move on. (LSS's POV when she hearing story about Emperor Jin in Immortal Arc, She relieves that he is moved on, and become good emperor with many descendants)

Yes, it's always been a question, why didn't YXW, whether OG or drama, say why she drove a nail to his heart? even though she had given up and wanted to die because she had failed. It seems that this story is not a mission story with a system, where the MC will not be punished if the mission information is leaked.

I can't find any part of the novel that said the similarities between MY appearance and TTJ, in fact the novel actually writes LSS, YXW and SJ in different appearances.
