i feel like it would've been worse if they followed the novel closely in the adult arc because most of those scenes…
I’m not saying they should add toxicity or those kinds of scenes, but this just doesn’t make sense to me. They turned a drama with so much potential into a mess. I know it’s just a drama, but I have a brain haha

Title Never-Ending Summer Spoiler
The drama would have been better if it had stayed closer to the novel, with her still holding resentment toward Jiang even after six years since he betrayed LXX, instead of casually smiling and chatting with him. The female lead’s continued avoidance of the resort incident, much like before when she dodged talking about her personal life with LXX, shows no real character growth and makes the story feel pointless. The novel handles this far better, and they even skipped the Huang Hui subplot despite him being mentioned as a guest role in the cast. Now they’re living together as if nothing happened, and while I’m not asking for unnecessary drama, she should at least show some growth ,maybe a hint of regret for leaving him. A bit of tension could have made a big difference; otherwise, it’s too easy to forget she left for ten years. He’s not even asking why she left, and she’s just too focused on her own things, showing no regret, going with the flow, and doing whatever LXX asks. At this point, it’s not love but obsession, with a complete lack of communication from both sides.

After watching six episodes, this drama seems promising, and I hope it doesn’t go downhill after 10 or 15 episodes. I’m not sure what the comments are saying, but while watching these episodes, I was glad to see the friendship trope, with characters standing up for each other. Now, let’s see what happens next. 🥲

It was good and made me think about the ending. I had a lot of questions and ended up searching for answers afterward. The ending was mehh h. it could have been better, but they wanted to turn it into a never-ending loop. So yeah, 8 /10, though I think the female lead was quite foolish..

The FL is a bit annoying at the moment, but I’ve seen more frustrating beginnings, so I’ll hold off on judging too soon. It was pretty funny when the prince saved the ML instead of her in episode 4 . I honestly didn’t see that coming.

I really wanted to see the first Cheng brother in the last scene to make the family complete, and they also skipped poor Yanyang’s husband in the final gathering to watch the stars. I really loved Yuan Shen, maybe because I love Yunrui. I kind of don’t understand the relationship between the male and female leads, perhaps it wasn’t a healthy one, as he didn’t know how to give love, thinking only saving her life was enough, while she had never received love in her life and craved it the most maybe first priority. She stayed in the palace for five years simply because the empress gave her the affection she longed for. Overall, I’d rate both parts 8.5/10. I binge watched it, maybe skipped a little, but there aren’t many dramas you can binge watch. highly recommended!

We’re already at episode 14, and A Sheng is still aimlessly wandering just to find her senior ,it’s honestly ridiculous 😂 and maybe that guy still following her .
