from what I got. they are pronounced same but written differently and their meaning is different - day n dawn.

like when you say they are free to choose (ofcourse not self destruction). Asian culture is that way and with Chinese the filial responsibility is too much. I understand the difference between reality and fiction. These days i watch to appreciate what's there and to understand the characters behaviour. Eventhough I will understand the characters, I would not want that to happen in reality.

there was a reason for toxicity. the revenge stemming out of 20 years of separation and 2 years of love. but what i liked was the actual reason for the toxicity which was mentioned in just few lines

I actually see the love rather toxicity. you cant hate that much unless you have loved that much. And the book does touch what was in Lu Feng's mind when he did all those.

from what I got from book it's not much marrying for the sake of family but a decision he thinks he left on destiny. the decision I would definitely agree was based on mother's blackmail and his love for Yi Chen. Chinese filial emotions are top notch. it's guided by their govt
