This whole review just gave me goosebumps because it made me reminisce ALL the thoughts and feelings that I had when I was watching this drama, they still remain with me now until this very moment. It's funny because I already know it's going to end tragically and I'm going to feel heartbroken again but I still can't help watching it over and over again. xD
This list is legendary, but my favorite would definitely be the bad-ass, all-powerful High Goddess and Queen of Qingqiu, Bai Qian. I love her so so soo much! <3
Also, I would love to add to this list two more people: 1. Qu Xiaofeng (Goodbye My Princess) - the beautiful, feisty and strong-willed Princess of Western Liang who rode horses like a pro, shot arrows like it was nothing and lived her life for her country. I wish she had a better life though. She had such a pure soul. *drowns in tears again*
2. Han Yunxi (Legend of Yunxi) - the cheerful and smart Duchess of Qin who wielded needles like it was an extension of herself. No poison, injustice or scheme could get past her. She devoted her life to medicine and to cured poisons. No matter what hardships came her way, she faced them head on with a positive attitude and a cheerful smile.
PS. Both dramas are adapted from novels namely, Eastern Palace and Poison Genius Consort, both of which are amazing novels that are translated into English and can be read online. These two are definite must-reads! :)

You and me both. I've also watched AOL and although I really loved it, TMOPB will always have my heart. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD and it's the reason why I got to love watching historical/xianxia dramas. Ahhhhh. Will another drama ever be able to beat this drama in my heart? Very unlikely. (Although, I'm hoping The Pillow Book would be nearly at par with this. I loved reading about Dong Hua and Feng Jiu's story! I wish the drama team will be able to give justice to that.)

And I am pleased to inform you (if you don't already know hehe) that The Pillow Book is indeed being made into a drama with Vengo and Dilraba reprising their roles and Yang Mi confirmed for a cameo! *squeals* Anyway, since you're looking for a fanfic of DongFeng I highly recommend this fic from a friend of mine. This takes place right after the Ten Miles of Peach Blossom drama with Feng Jiu as queen of Qing Qiu.
