Honestly i loved it, from the cgi in the games (whish there had been more!!!) to the wild characters like kenji that definitely gave it manhwa feels.. MeenPing delivered as well And i especially loved Meen playing this sort of role My only issue was that it legit felt like 1 second Guy was still convinced he was into Wahl, and at the drop of a hat he's with Tew.. like, this change needed a lot more.. it was so abrupt, i kept waiting for someone to wake up because i was convinced that whole scene from the beach in ep.4 was a dream
In ep 2, they do a cover of 'Yak Rong Dang Dang' right, (the first song the band plays in the club scene) I could swear i've heard the song in another BL, does anyone know which one?
Just started this, and plot/story etc aside, every single shot of James in this is so stunning, i love how he's framed, i love his makeup and styling, it's all together sooooo prettyyyyy |*>д<*)シー♡♡ Like, take a screenshot at any random point and it's fit to be a wallpaper unedited Contrary to popular opinion in the comments, i also found his acting very good - especially those scenes when he freezes, the sadder he is, he kind of.. erases (?) his microexpressions so only his eyes speak and i find that sublime; it shouts of extreme reticence and that ties in both with Uea's self-contained personality and his desire to 'punish' himself.. i find it very layered and expressive
Edit: after finishing, i have to give this series a solid 10, not only for the actors, story, fun banter, push-and-pull tension and chemistry btw the leads, etc but HUGE props for - - explicit discussions on importance of consent - safe and healthy §ex practices - from protection and testing, to enjoyable, consensual, steamy but wholesome exploration of what they like and want - not whitewashing issues like SA, homophobia and child abu§e - mental health - no 'love fixes all', the lead (encouraged by his boss) actively seeks psychiatric help and takes medications, and this is also discussed beautifully between the couple - overall healthy take on setting emotional and physical boundaries at different stages of a r/ship which that individual couple is comfortable with And all this while not being preachy but immensely fun show to watch
So there are 12 eps.And when Third made that confess video on his account for only him to see. Khai borrowed that…
Omg THIS! just started ep 6 and it struck me as well, coz howtf he out here asking him for help buying LIPSTICK for his latest fling *after* seeing the video, he is so messed up
2 episodes in and i want to push Khai off a cliff, hoping he redeems himself but going through the comments like...
Edit: finished episode 4 and i not only want to push him off a cliff but push the whole cliff down over him AND set it on fire Edit edit: 10 bad things about him, i can easily list 250, Third please please wake up ã… ã… Edit edit edit: i was so wrong, finished ep6 and the cliff is too humane, he deserves to get stábßed
Overall, a great series if you want a ton of angst; the boys played their roles so well it pulls you in emotionally. Side couplings were meh for me though, OST, film references, etc really shone
Pros- Good music, cute guys, the cast is amazing and did the best they could've
Cons- The entire story. Seriously, please, theres nothing romantic about being borderline - in some cases outright - abusive.. the entire relationship of both pairings is just built on skewed power dynamics, lots of cold violence and toxicity
For real, theres this trope thats used a lot in c- and k- webnovels in the pre-rebirth/reincarnation phase where the protag is treated miserably (i.e 'dog-blood') and then is reborn and the ML realises the error of his ways and embarks on a wife-chasing crematorium and pays equally in suffering and I just kept waiting for it to happen here and - nothing. Had to drop it after a certain point coz by then i was mad not even at Lian and Yi but Kuea and Diao for staying with them...
Loved this!! The 'soulmates' angle was super well developed The 2 pairs (past life vs present) have different personalities and hence a different r/ship; which is a very nice touch as their growing environment was so different, and i love how they ultimately presented character resolutions like, 'we are (our past selves) but also new people' But both couplings are super dreamy and work well. They have devoted enough time to the flashbacks to flesh out KornxIn's relationship and wring your heart with it I also really enjoyed the placements of the flashback (i.e where in each episode the cut happens) as well as the content (as they are not in chronological order). The order followed was done very intelligently. Side characters were nice as well, while Manaow (and Del) were presented as the default female role in BLs - i.e, bl fangirls, their characters were also written well enough to stand on their own.. and ofc WinxTeam is LIFE!!
Also, like, i totally get the hype around Earth, istfg he's sooo incredibly lovable!!!!
One of the best romance dramas out there, not just in the BL category. Despite so many issues from the outside world, between themselves it is so wholesome and they are both so good to and for each other. They treat the other with tenderness and genuine respect and the relationship is just truly fun
Teacher: his grades haven't dropped and he seems happier than before Yu Guang's parents: WELL WE CAN'T BE HAVING THAT
honestly it's a great series. Engaging, heart-warming, sweet-bittersweet, tenderly written and produced, full of nostalgic 'first-love' feelings with a superb OST. Both the main and secondary couples are equally good. Well worth watching and re-watching
Pros - 1. Teng Muren's stylist for the show 2. The advertising team for BB vitamins 3. Main couple. Overall cute, fell off the rails stunningly at places devolving into outright incomprehensibility but Teng Muren is cute enough to make up for it (if you ignore some of his questionable choices like, the appropriate response to being attempted- date raped is not to then get the culprit date raped??) Licheng's personality is also very likeable 4. Unstable little brother's interactions with the main pair
Cons - Second couple. First of all, the personalities - the elder brother is seriously one of the most annoying characters ever written, just throw it away. The younger - had SO much potential. The writers involved a lot of heavy material which should have been tackled way differently. Not just the rape, but in every way he requires a lot of intensive help. It's a very unhealthy mindset to go into a r/ship with and i wish ppl around him did a better job. The parents as well. Basically these plotlines require a whole new show to work, and I don't mean in terms of time (this show devoted a lot of time to this pairing) but like, a different writing team.
Tldr - cute story with nice eye-candy to play a drinking game to where u take a drink at every product placement. Just skip all the scenes with the 2nd couple.
I just finished it after binge watching the whole night and i don't usually swear but omfg FXXCCKKKK Seriously, was there not enough conflict and drama throughout the seriess??!? What was the need for the whole thing to end like that!?!? This was such a good series throughout, i really loved it, i loved the pair, the side characters were good, the plot was really good, and flowed really well, investing enough time in all the naunces of their budding relationship, pulling you in and making you root for them; There was lots of drama, comedy, sugar and even smexy bits.. and it was touching and filled with so much 'youth' and passion.
Honestly, should've stopped watching at ep 9. The black out was just a fade-out at the end, like, the series ended there because it's understood what happens after - he goes back, then goes and gets the salt, his parents come visit, they live happily ever after yada yada. You know what? Yeah. Thats what happened. :)
Bruh i just started this, and while gu si ren x hero couple is cute i feel so so bad for lan xi, coz who the HELL starts putting the moves on a guy within 48 hrs of your girlfriend's DEATH, like... bruh Even if u were having issues, like.. mourn for 5 minutes ffs

Easily one of my favs ever!!!
BUT HUGE TRIGGER WARNING for SA/abuse/violence against a minor (flashback), esp ep 13, this needs to be put up
