I haven't caught up yet to the most recent episodes, but from what I'm seeing people say about him, it sounds like he's playing a similar character to his role in Vincenzo? Annoying and problematic, but ultimately pretty sympathetic once you know more of his story. Now that I think about it, The actor for Soo Cheol, like Soo Kim.Hyun, tends to pick strong dramas with good scripts.

Oh yes, I know that, but some dramas with just bromance seem to still have undertones of romantic tension (like Devil Judge or The Untamed between the MLs) and I was wondering if this drama was like those or not. :)

But I found her super annoying to watch. She was a slightly toned down version of the mother-in-law of the eldest daughter in My Father Is Strange (couldn't stand her; she was SO awful 😭) who felt like a Mrs. Bennet from Pride and Prejudice but 10 times worse.

Yes, that's true, but after the first watch I didn't enjoy their plot, largely because there wasn't enough time to develop the ice queen into someone I really cared about, she was so clingy foe the ML, and then the 2ML died. That was the nail in the coffin for me. I also disliked the 2FL's mother, and it seemed the mother and daughter were always in scenes together which turned me off from the 2FL's scenes.

Interesting, I didn't care for them. I skip all the second leads' scenes on CLOY rewatches...

That did bother me about her other dramas; they were fantasies or fantasy-esque also, and she still didn't give them super happy endings (except Legend Of The Blue Sea). 😅 Does make me a BIT nervous...

It's all thanks Mr. Sunshine. After getting completed deflated by the ending of that one, I now am very, very careful with starting dramas unless I know the ending ahead of time. I'm breaking my process with this one; hopefully I won't regret it!

Though, to be fair, 2521 teased its ending from the start (that's why I jumped ship by the end of Episode 1; I smelled an ending that would frustrate me...). At least this is a made up illness! Hopefully that means they can come up with a just as fantastical cure. ☺️
