Aha meanwhile I’m a total Nanon STAN. I love him as Pran. I do admit that Pat has to do a lot of chasing and Pran can be quite short and dismissive , but it’s in line with people who have similar personalities.

Throwing myself under the bus to say that I have a lot of the same qualities as Pran and sometimes respond to people…even my crushes like that. I can def understand how annoying that can be to others who share more straight forward personalities.

Also P’Aof discussed on YT that this bl would be have a lot of similar tropes as typical Y series/ BL based on the script’s intentions. One other person called bad buddy a love letter to the entire bl genre so it will def have the tropes. I think the tropes are handled tastefully though that shouldn’t mean others should agree with me or with P’Aof’s intentions.

Anyway! At the moment both actors aren’t slotted to do any more bl work in order to focus on other interests so there’s that. Im really excited for their announced 2022 projects. But thanks a bunch for sharing your opinion! Sometimes I feel like those who don’t share the same view as the majority get ignored or worse but I personally always like the discussion of perspectives.

Dunno how you feel about Nanon but I also think he has the best expressions. Hope you find what aspects you do enjoy as you continue.

It’s so weird to see the stark contrast in opinions on this. I personally agree that it’s way too high a rating but then others absolutely love it… especially in the YT comments. I think this series is a specific breed of comedy that people will either love or hate.

This is my first introduction to Filipino bl and I must admit it’s an underwhelming experience. The first episode was confusing in terms of the directing. The acting was also overdone and had no natural feel to it.

At least it was clear who the couples are going to be and the leads are attractive…but everything else is subpar at best. I will give it another episode before I decide if I should keep watching.

Yes! When Pat says no… and right before Pran steps forward, there’s the most subtle change in Pran’s features. he starts trying to blink back more tears and his face softens even more. It only happens for a second but it’s everything. 😭

I don’t think so. They’ve been very strong with the pacing of stuff. I doubt they’ll drag it out longer than needed.

I’m sooo ready for the angst, drama, and action. This looks like it’ll be great!

Yesss! This is the first time I’ve rewatched full EPs over and over. In other series, I just skip to my fav scenes and rewatch only that …but this is on a whole new level. Every week I rewatch at least 4 times. I need help. ;-;

But if so, I wouldn’t even mind because if this is his last bl, he’s KILLED it with his performance.
This is how you retire from a genre. Even for Nanon… if this is his first and last bl then we holy crap…what more could we ask for?

I’m still on ep 3. I keep hearing that it’s good and it must be considering there’s a season 2 and a spin off…but the first few eps were so HEAVY. I couldn’t get through any episode in a single sitting.

I’ll come back to it eventually after some time. It’s a shame because I generally like Tharn. And as for Type, I kept thinking: “He needs a therapist, not a relationship” so I couldn’t really get down with how a lot of things were handled by the leads.

Sameeee. I can’t deny the cuteness of it, but at the same time it’s not grabbing my interest in the way it seems to be with everyone else.

Ever bought something and then start “seeing it everywhere” ? It’s that same phenomenon with Pat. It’s like he can’t unsee his feelings…especially after talking with Pa, Ink, and Korn.
Once it clicked , Pat’s situation with Pran irked him. Kind of like when you suddenly discover a pet peeve. You never knew it annoyed you until the first time you encountered it. Then any future times you encounter that pet peeve, it’s instant annoyance.

For Pat, the moment the jealousy became clear, he was immediately and continuously put in situations where he appears as low priority in Pran’s life. This is the same guy who spent all of ep 3 chasing Pran like a lost puppy just to get Pran to talk to him and treat him like a friend.. meanwhile he sees people like Wai, have effortless communication/contact with Pran even though he’s known him longer. These feelings built up rather quickly once he realized how he feels/wants vs. reality. And because he has an impulsive/instinctual personality, he acts in his feelings rather quickly.

Same. This is the first time in awhile that I’ve felt overwhelmed after an ep. I like need a few more days and a couple more watches to fully digest.

It’s cute so far. I really like how Lee and Singto’s characters interact! I’m not 100% pulled in by the first episode but I’ll keep watching especially because I want to see Foei’s character.

Oh ok! I didn’t watch the trailer and I also don’t watch the end of ep previews. Curious about how they let it play out.

I agree! I also worry that Pran will now try to be even more distant towards Pat in the next ep. I can only imagine that it'll make Pat also feel like something is wrong between them when really Pran is probably trying to stay out of the way while also dealing with his own hurt feelings.

Yes! And that little smile he gave at Pat when rolled back over to catch one last glance at him...just for his lip to quiver again. I WAS LIKE OML PRAN I KNOW THOSE FEELS.
