obligatory disclaimer that im a huge fan of the original weak hero webtoon which is what motivates this rant.…
I feel very similar. season 1 only covered the background/origin story of SiEun. It was handled with emotional maturity so I was excited to see how the actual start of the webtoon would be handled. Each season doesnt really have many eps so they really should’ve just focused on the world building and hierarchical structure that Donald/Baekjin created with the different highschools.
I wouldn’t have minded if s2 was all about Wolf being the ‘main villain’ or antagonist and Donald being excluded for a later season. S2 is better off for people who never read the webtoon
The throwing cash in a bathtub is so cringe 🥲 I felt like the cash is so little if divided to all of them,…
Honestly, a tub full of money acquired by a room full of the most powerful people in the country felt off. It actually felt like they were skimping out because I would think there would be a lot more.
problem here is that: i can't relate to him taking revenge. u are in new life and those people aren't same. they…
Actually they are the same. Its just that the new timeline is 10 years before his old life. Without intervention, the same bad guys steadily grow their power and become who they were previously. Like the only other option would be to retire from his career and change professions because he wouldnt be able to keep working with a clean conscience.
ML carried this so much. The first half was way better than the second half. The FL’s schemes were reckless while the ML did the real heavy lifting in romance and partnership.
Both actually were terrible as work partners though because neither hardly ever planned their schemes together or fully explained what they knew. They could’ve skipped a lot of emotional pain in the second half.
I don't mind morally ambiguous but at this point ZCJ is just going down a dark path because of her insecurities…
I agree. I am enjoying the complex characters butthe nuances for each character is different. I understand Liu Xifang, Xifang Tao, and even miss Hong. I dont cone theur actions and I think they deserve everything coming to them. But Chunji’s actions just feel reckless and childish when the outcome doesnt benefit her.
The only one I’m invested in is A Shui. But I am interested in the whole Yin Yang backstory and arc. I’m way…
Zhoudi flashbacks are my fav aspects of WoF. I wish we could have a spin off of just zhoudi era when everything was fluff…or at least a few dedicated eps aha.
I love the group bonding too but also starting to get tired of Chunji. It’s sad because I used to like her more than Ah shui.
I fast forward that scene bc I was frustrated with her. I hope she can heal though
I dont mind her characterization. That’s why i mentioned that i hope she heals (from her insecurities). I was just waiting for Tang lici to save her so they could get out of there. Like she already knows TL is there to save her. He wouldn’t let her drown in that water
