I truly appreciate how they took their time with the forgiveness arc, it’s so much more meaningful that way.…
Right! Ive been joking about how they’re boyfriends but on a serious note i love how Shin said they were only “classmates” and not at a friend level yet. Even if Shin is now willing to forgive Saint, trust doesnt come back just because someone wishes for it. Its def a work in progress that will take more time.
You can tell right away how protective Saint is over Shin, he goes full-on intense whenever anyone tries to hurt…
This! I noticed that. It’s interesting too that when Ken and evil twins were stomping on Saint, Shin also stuck around and basically monitored the situation. If he actually despised Saint, he would've walked away and left.
So this was my first short cdrama and I enjoyed it.
It’s very cliche but the pace is fast enough that you move through plot points before it starts getting annoying. The chemistry between ML and FL was great and I liked all the kiss scenes. That said, the FL was all talk, no action. She’s smart with persuasive words but powerless so basically she felt useless and just fumbled around as a pawn piece between ML and Empress Dowager. Everyone else was pretty stereotypical. Solid 7 but gave it another .5 bc I liked the opening ost.
For any new people, this is still on Netflix under the name "King's War". It is long though @ 80 eps.
I definitely watched this for Chen DaoMing and of course he's great here. But in general, this drama holds up really well given it came out in 2012. The acting is more convincing than some newer dramas I've watched. It's not overly gimmicky or cheesy especially in the fight scenes. (There was one death where a general was literally holding an arrow under his armpit but the dialogue was saying it hit his chest lol. )
at ep30 and it's obviously good but hard to watch with all these shitty characters getting so much screentime.…
On ep 32 and feel similar. It’s ok. The FL is different to the ones I usually find in cdramas which I can appreciate, but she doesnt hold my attention all that much. Though Shen Xingyi is growing on me.
I will never not praise, talk about, and share my love for Bad Buddy with those close to me. This show holds a…
Agreed! This is a bl I come back to again and again. I have never felt so connected with a show before (Pran in particular felt handcrafted/handwritten just for me). I have had to fully separate the actors and their characters. It's a shame what ultimately happened to the cp, but that will never stop me from loving Pat and Pran or their love story.
I loved S1. S2 is a complete letdown. There is virtually no character growth - all of these characters are ultimately…
You really articulated well my issues with XY. Last season I tolerated her, but didn't really like her personality when it came to love and expectations surrounding that. I didn't care who she ended up with s1 and was fine with TJ because she didn't have the emotional maturity for much else imho. Then this season, I was hoping for some character development from her and was just disappointed. Again by the end, I just didn't care about her love plots.
My fav character is CX (not as a romantic interest) because of his complicated and fleshed out storyline in S1. He's the type of character I enjoy as ML. I'm bummed about the route they took with his character dev. I really wanted him to be a true villain but it was this wishy washy mud puddle instead.
So I happened to see this on Netflix and started watching it randomly in between other shows. I had moderate to low expectations but by the time I got halfway through, I was hooked.
I love of a good bromance mixed with character development. The hospital politics was actually fun for me. The villains weren’t as bad as they could have been but that ended up being for the best. Wasnt a fan of the romance and I skipped those scenes bc there was so many flashbacks of the romantic moments that even if you missed it, you’d see it 4 times later anyway. Still ended up being a feel good drama for me. I love the ghosts.
I will never get fls getting criticised for the smallest of things. Jiah didn't make a single stupid decisions…
I recently started and as smart as she is, she is a bit annoying. Actually her curiosity and determination puts her in trouble all the time and I’m only on ep 3 or 4. Her strengths are her weaknesses. Like for instance, the 2nd time ML and his bro fought, she kept standing there when ML told her to run just acting like she can get in the middle of 2 supernatural beings fighting. Like GIRL GO.
That said, I think it’s that I don't like the character’s personality to begin with. So I can recognize that and still watch for the ML and side characters.
I was sooo frustrated watching this but it was entertaining.
Seems like everyone is talking about 8 because she was the most extreme but she had the most obvious personality. I could tell the type of person she was the quickest. I found myself the most frustrated with 6, 5, and 1. By the end I wasn't rooting for anyone because they were all annoying. That said, this felt very realistic and in line with what people can be capable of.

The second confrontation is in ep 24 where it's ML turn to tell FL directly that he accepts her. she also says certain things that confirm who she is.
